Along with this is make sure that everyone in the house has skills that can support themselves at home if locked down again. Along with this figure out who the most cost effective caregiver/teacher for your children especially if schools/daycare are no longer dependable.
If in outer suburbs and rural areas: 1) Research wild edibles in your state and become VERY familiar with their appearance and location so you do not conflate them with any more dangerous plants 2) Go on a hike in the woods where you can expect to find wild edibles 3) Harvest them and take them home to cook/make a dish with them 4) Bask in your accomplishment that you now know a way to survive during the apocalypse
I'm not sure why people are saying these are not pandemic approved - atleast to me I thought free and cheap were very appropriate. Also, I loved that you used the word "boujee" I always use that word. My family has enjoyed camping at a family cabin we have and a trip 2 hours outside our city in a more rural town then where we live.
Yeah, I was assuming these were stay-cation ideas because we have to stay at home with minimal social interactions for this pandemic..... and many states aren't even open for these suggestions. Not to mention many healthy people are trying to avoid exposure because they have elderly or higher risk family at home.
Living and vacationing in Hawaii are very different things. Most folks who live there avoid places that attract tourists like the plague, including the beach. We did.
Our best vacation: Fly first class to Ft. Lauderdale, spend the night at a nice hotel. Next day board a ship for a 28-day trans-Atlantic cruise in one of their largest suites. Disembark in Copenhagen, spend five more nights there. Fly back to Tucson Business Class. Total cost: $40,000. Worth it? YES!
I guess her audience is people with kids or a spouse. I've only watched a couple of her segments, but it's like she is only talking to people with families. Not what I was expecting...Dave is so approachable whatever yout situation.
I’m not 100% supportive of the home town amusement and water park idea, but I suppose if you’re cutting off visits to grandma (which I’d never do) or willing to risk their life, it would be a fun time.
It's a bad idea in any situation if you ask me. Overpriced, overhyped, loud, long queues and bad food. Do yourself a favour and skip it. It's not worth your hard earned dollars. 😉
Saying this to be helpful. Watch the occasional ‘up-tone’ intonation at the end of your sentences. It’s something is women do and it can affect how credible we sound. Keep up the good work.
