That was really interesting. I can't afford to do experiments with what little resin I can afford, but I love watching you and other resiners out there in RU-vid land who are pushing the boundaries of what can be created with this fascinating medium. Thank you for posting this brilliant video Dan! God bless you from a fellow brit.
You can always use synthetic hair. I love the other side of the heart using your hair. Both sides look super cool. The gray flower bloom is soooo pretty as well.
These are beautiful and a great idea. I've used black 28 gauge craft wire for the antennae. For the body, maybe make them ahead with epoxy or uv and add them right before putting in the wings
Please subscribe if you haven't yet, some 57% of my viewers are to to hit that button 🥰. Also, feel free to share this amongst your resin friends 😊😊. Thanks for watching 😊😊
Ty4sharing truly tyfor not running loud music yourninstrustions are calming enuf for me icanwatchforhoursvthx for sharing your beautiful art with us all sir👍🫶
I’m new to resin but what I would try is making the body and antenna using UV resin, then placing it into the mold/resin and going from there with the wings. That’s what I’m going to do. 😊
Funny I always talk back to your videos especially giggling when you say sorry for your hand being in the way I giggle and say it's always in the way lol. But I love 😍love that you experiment, I swear when I get started I will be the same way trying to find new and exciting things to pull off
Hi Daniel. I actually attempted this when I started my 3D flowers. I actually drew the antennae with two small dots where I wanted them to be and drew them down with a toothpick to the head. Looking fabulous. Luved the tutorial. 😀
Love your work, as always! Better result small drops on bottom first, larger drops on top, last. (Before adding bloom & other swirl affects) Mesmerizing to watch! Then the reveal! You are keeping me from getting my work done! Good method for making pansies as well!
WOW, Thankyou so much for your wonderful video's. As always your tutorials are very informative. I am new to this and absolutely love learning from you. I love the butterflies ..thankyou... Lynda in New zealand
That is a really cool technique. I loved a lot of them. They definitely looked like bloom butterflies. Would for sure love to see you do this on a bigger scale. 💜😊💜🇺🇸
I just watched 👀 for the second time and enjoyed listening to you figuring out what you want to do and how to make it happen. I learned a lot from you that way!😊
🎉I really enjoyed watching this video, and your experiment! I loved the butterfly 🦋 wings. Butterflies are my favorites. I t thought that some of them were great. 😊
Those are really amazing! I’m not sure if I’ve seen anyone going beyond just stirring to really doing artwork by manipulating. Really nice! I’m supposed to be focusing on polymer clay, not resin! You weren’t really happy with the first domed set. While they were not perfect, they were imperfectly perfect and beautiful!
I was hoping you would do a sort of backwards parentheses with the white for one of these. Like )( that. I bet it would have a nice effect. Love your work! I'm always inspired by your projects!
I think the hair would be a good idea for memorial pieces, you could also use kitty whiskers, for pet memorials. Just a thought. Another great video! Ty!!
Maybe try a silicone tool to add the white ?? And for the antennae use a really thin craft wire that can bend ? And the body maybe also drawing it in with the silicone tool,??
Que precioso Daniel!! He estado viendo sus tutoriales, son de mucha ayuda, muchas gracias por compartirlos. Lo veo desde mi país El Salvador Centro América. Feliz noche
Wow! I think they are all very pretty!! I can't wait to start pouring. I'm finally in an apartment where I can pour resin, and I think these will be at the top of my list, just as soon as it is warm enough for me to open windows. You are so creative. I really appreciate all that you teach me. Thanks so much for all of the videos! Happy Pouring!!!!
Thanks for your video Daniel. I think considering all the variables, you did a good job. At the least, they're very pretty, and some definitely look like butterflies. The rounds ones are also pretty and impressive for what you're dealing with.
I wonder if you could make a UV resin body in the smallest amount of resin to start. I make all sorts of little pieces & parts with the UV for the alphabet letters molds. For water/ocean areas I put regular 2 part resin and add in drops of UV clear or white for the waves.. UV lights cure the UV parts right then.. and I let it sit several hours or overnight for the 2 part to catch up. Thanks for sharing Daniel. It’s always a pleasure to watch you create your art pieces 😊👌
Oo those look great :> if you have good hand control I would draw white lines for that inside of the wings on the same layer as the black. As some circles of white and dots etc.
I love this butterfly! I love using butterflies in my pieces. I watched your struggle with the body and I wonder if you could use clay to make the body and add it to inks at appropriate time. Also I love your idea for antennas! Brilliant, not gross.
Magnifiques expériences et super résultat .. Très interessant , merci beaucoup Daniel 🙏🙏 Le blanc dans ta poche à douille, est ce que c'est du mica plus résine ?? 💖💖💖💖
Daniel, you are Amazing! Could the ones that are too transparent be coated with black or dark blue on the back? I love the transparency of these.. Thank You for sharing!
Cool affect but have you thought about maybe using black pigment paste for the body like in your other video , whereas you made the body first then the wings. Love all of your techniques and videos. Keep teaching us and we'll keep watching
This really was screaming UV for me! Since UV has to be done in quick drying layers, the butterfly body itself could be done in UV for quick dry layer. Interesting brainstorm! I wonder if using both Mica and Alcohol Ink in the same session would change the flow of things, too for the wings! Hmmm.
I like the way you tilted the mold to get the resin to move to the other heart. That's something I would probably do. 🙂 How do you come up with these ideas? And then they turn out awesome.
be brave and just have a go. The more goes you have, (at anything) the more skill develops and confidence grows. Don't look for others' approval, yours is good enough. Warhol said ' whilst everyone is busy criticising your art, go out and create more". Happy pouring
I love how you’re always coming up with a unique technique! I don’t think using your hair is gross, I think it’s great you’re thinking outside the box.. or mold😆 There was an Artist at the Art Festival in our Capital a few years ago, he actually painted every painting with his own blood.. now that’s suffering for your art.😳 He was incredibly talented artist but, I’m not comfortable with blood (childhood trauma involving a very big German Shepherd and my leg being his chew toy) So, I’m probably not a good judge on that one. Great job creating a beautiful butterfly in a moving medium!
