Hey peach stay strong girl! My now 17 yr old daughter was born with Down’s syndrome and hydrocephalus (water on the brain) I was scared and felt hopeless too. My daughter is very high functioning and doing well. She’s a brat!! Lol I know it’s two different cases, but the outcome can be very positive. Keep faith.

My cousin was born with fluid in his brain. He lives a normal life. His head is a little large and he does have to go in here and there as he gets older to get the fluid drained, but he graduated from high school, works a job goes to college l etc. I say all of that to say that your baby will be awesome he or she will flourish!!!

Hey mama, I’ve been in your shoes and every single word you’ve said i can personally relate too. it hit home when you said the feeling of guilt for not wanting a special needs child. I remember the nurses calling me to come learn how to work my daughters feeding pump in the NICU and I broke down crying pleading with god why . it broke me. my daughter also has severe fluid on her brain called ventriculomegaly. the 2x a week appt and bad news after bad news became unbearable for me where I even wanted to give birth at home to get away from it all. It’s been 2 years since then and I can truly say this journey is what knit my inner being together and allowed me to know what unconditional love is for my daughter. I’m praying for you tonight and wishing you calmness and peace for your heart.

My cousin was born with half her brain missing and she’s just fine … plays basketball and went to college and is currently a welder in the union she’s good and your baby will be just fine… I know one thing that is a big baby he looks like she’s ready to come out and play lol … girl you better make them damn appointments and know what’s going with baby it’s important that you know what’s going on because it’s your body and your baby … don’t give up you have a excellent support system although we can’t be physically there we’re with you every step with all that heavy breathing and all 😘 one more thing those doctors are only guessing at this point wait until baby gets here for results

Keep praying and keep hope alive. Ask the Lord to heal this baby's brain and any other organs that might showing any signs of abnormalities. I pray in the name of Jesus for this baby. Wow! Stay strong. There was a documentary a while back in the UK. A boy was born with only 20% of his brain. But after he was born he met all the milestone. Learned to walk, talk and everything. At around 2-3 years old they did an MRI and it showed his brain grew on its own and was then at 80%! Miracles do happen.

My sister had a similar testimony about fluid being around my nephew’s brain. He’s now 2 years old and functioning perfectly fine. Never had any problems since he was born. Be encouraged. 🙏🏾❤️

Peaches my daughter in law delivered during COVID. She had to be induced because she was high risk. She was diagnosed with thyroid disease when she was pregnant and had a tumor behind her right ear. Cori inherited the thyroid disease. Thankfully they’re both doing well. Continue to pray, God hear you❤️whatever the outcome, He will prepare you and carry you through

Peach I'm sorry you're going through this. My daughter was born with microcephaly and cataracts on both eyes. I didn't find out in advance but I do remember those feelings you now have in the hospital after delivering her. They were throwing even possibility at me heart problems, brain issues, etc.. I totally checked out and told them not to tell me anything else and to speak to my husband and cried. My fear was she would never live a normal life. She is now 15 and is very high functioning and independent. Having her has taught me so much and I have learned so much about myself through her. I always tell my daughter "God chose us because we are the perfect match for this mission" I had her at All Children's Hospital they appointed me a case manager and she was amazing. She made sure I had all the necessary resources. Praying for you Sending love and light. 🙏🏽💞💫

I just stumbled across this video and I want to send you my love and prayer. When I was pregnant with my baby girl I was told that she will have Down syndrome...I was terrified when I received the news and just bawling. My husband said to me, Renee let’s just pray about it and have crazy faith that our little girl will be fine. She is now 17 months old and healthy no Down syndrome. Stay strong and prayed up...praying that you will have a healthy baby and a safe delivery. God knows best and he will not give us more than we can handle. Stay strong!

My son was born with a heart defect and I knew at 16 weeks, he had his pulmonary artery missing and that’s what carries blood from your heart to your lungs. When he was born he was rushed into surgery and he’s 12 now this January and has had surgeries every few years but he’s as normal as he can be. Whenever we do surgery it’s hard and sometimes I stop in my tracks but God is good and we make it through each time!

God is Always Always in Control. Your baby is GOD’S baby. You are GOD’S child. Even with Everything that COULD be. He will give you HIS strength, HIS Love and HIS Peace. You are in the best position because God has positioned you for this moment. I’m praying with you Sis!

Oh, sweet Peach, I know exactly what you are talking about. When I lost my baby years ago, after an ultrasound when they told me her heart was not beating any longer and to come back in the evening to deliver her, I truly though about not calling anyone when I left the hospital and just to keep on driving without stopping. The pain is so raw, I don't know that there is ever a good reason and I just knew that I had to keep going because I had another baby at home to take care of. I am praying for you for peace and strength. I am so sorry you are going through this.

If the hydrocephalus is increasing, you might consider an early delivery since you are past the weeks of viability. Either way, you got this, that is why God chose you!

The doctors gave me the options to abort, when I was 21 weeks and told that in Michigan its legal up to 26 was ans i said if at 26 wks im still walking around pregnant, I don't owe anyone an explanation why I choose to keep my baby and will believe that God made the decision for us and with that, we know that He will continue to carry Christopher. I thought I was depressed about some flooding in my basement and not having funds to take care of things in my house. I must say I'm not going thru nothing compared to what your going thru. I had a daughter with Cystic Fibrosis and I couldn't understand why God gave me a baby who was sick. My Dad gave me the best words ever. God gave you this child because he knew that you were the best Mom for this baby. You will fight and do what ever you need to do for this baby. I would never change having my baby girl. They said that I would have her for 8 yrs only but I was blessed with 28 yrs. I wish I could be there with you and give you a very big hug. I have faith that you can do this and God will be with you every step of the way.

I feel the same about water. It gives me so much peace. When I’m troubled, I will walk in the rain when I’m stress. I’m praying for your baby and you and your family. Be strong. I know it’s hard but just pray. I understand how you you’re feeling. I had 2 near misses with SIDS. Grief counseling is helpful.

I suffer from depression and sinking is so much harder and more depressing, more anxiety to come back from as opposed to put 1 foot in front of the other like we do everyday! Sweet Sweet mommy. I'm 64 years old and have 2 special needs sons. One is 38 and another 40 years. (I raised 14 children) Number one, you're going to become a strong fierce momma and you will love this baby 1,000%. Trust me, you will. My special sons have taught me more that I ever taught them. Rest in God's Peace and attempt to relax. Chant all day " God you are my Strength!" even if you are feeling too low to believe it! Hugs from one mom warrior to another!

Hi Peach, I have three wonderful children but my first child is Autistic and has developmental delay and a couple other issues. Unlike you I had a normal pregnancy and delivery and until he was 18 months he was a normal toddler in every way. He started to regress developmentally and then we were on the long road (9 years) until he was finally diagnosed. I know my situation was very different to yours and I cannot imagine what you're going through right now but what I see is a fantastic mummy who despite struggling and being scared is still determined to do the best she can to give her baby the best chances possible. You are not selfish, you are so brave! I have felt, in the early days, everything you are feeling now and one thing I know is that the babies/children that have special needs/disabilities all have one thing in common, amazing parents who will fight every step of the way for them. Don't be too hard on yourself, you are allowed to feel all those emotions, stay strong, sending you lots of love ❤️

Keep your head up my daughter was born with a disability too I didn’t know it until she was born. She is the most amazing beautiful baby girl. We been through so much bully in her life but I tell her that people that say bad things to her or not happy with there life’s. They are just jealous because you’re beautiful.
