1. we just use it for solo autonomous win point 2. there wasn’t a ratchet in the video, but we added one later to reduce motor strain. 3. since we have 3 members for our drive team, 2 members match load while our driver holds the cata button to continuously shoot 4. yes, we could’ve. however we decided to use a balance mechanism to allow an alliance to potentially hang on the low bar, increasing our total points.

@@chevy3096 thanks for the response! for the ratchet on the slapper, why would you need one though? if you're not going to use it unless you are match loading, and if you have no reason to stop the slapper in the loaded position, then wont the ratchet just create friction? additionally, throughout the entire video, why was the intake was passively spinning? and lastly (sorry for so many ?s), would you recommend the wings or the intake for scoring?

@@olliedaoriginal for some reason my first reply got deleted lmao but here it is we wanted a ratchet on the slapper because we can only go under the elevation bar from the front, or if the slapper is down. with a ratchet, we would be able to hold the slapper down the whole match and go under the bar both directions. you are correct that the ratchet could create friction, but if done properly, it should be unnoticeable. the intake was spinning passively because on our original robot, it helped keep the ball in the holder properly. we just transferred the code over to this robot and only changed it today :) for your last question, it really depends on the situation you are in. the intake is great for moving around single triballs or getting them from corners. however, the wings are good for pushing triballs in piles into the goal, which we found happened often in scrims. the wings are also very useful for skills. please feel free to contact me at ( shivaan. ) on Discord as well!

pneumatic release puncher. it still uses rubber bands to shoot forward, but is locked in place by pistons and cannot be retracted once fired
