I have never watched any of these types of "RU-vids" shows but not only do I enjoy yours I find myself watching it for hours at night and I found out that my son who is 33 yrs old also watches. My favorite is the different types of food that you will be eating as well as the different accommodations you choose for each Ferry trip and it still amazes me that your Ferry is as large as and as luxurious at times as our biggest commercial cruise ships. I also have to admit that because I myself like to indulge with an alcoholic drink from time to time (LOL) I enjoy how real you are and can include that as well! I told my son if he decides to venture out and travel to Japan and take a Ferry, he 100% better take me! As always safe travels!
The steamed selfish in the blue shell after Niigata, is called a mussels in the UK. We can buy them at the supermarket. I cook about 20 in hot water with garlic, onion, and herbs. Then I add cream before serving. It's tasty.
Entertaining, as always. I particularly enjoy the food and the descriptions of it. I can almost taste it. I now feel like I was on the ship with you. Please keep them coming.
The furniture was really the room's biggest problem -- well, okay, the outlet situation isn't great, but they picked furniture better-suited to a normal room, which just made it look small and bland in that giant space. Considering I've seen some pretty nice non-suite rooms on these things, not sure going all out is worth it unless there's a bunch of you. Or you really, really want a private balcony.
How amazing! Your trips are so wonderful. I've sat here watching and loving all of them. Tonight I think I've decided. I'm going to take my family on a 2 week vacation to Japan. I haven't been out of the US since I moved here from Germany in 1984 so this will be interesting! thank you so much for sharing!
I have to agree with you… it looked like grandma’s patterns. That and the bed covering🫣…I love cozy beds. The view was amazing, the size was great! The bathroom not bad. The meals looked tasty ( if you’re a seafood lover ) the presentations of the meals nice. To be honest I thought it was going to cost more. LOL they can raise the cost after they give grandma back her patterns 🤣
Hajimemashte Shiba! Arigato gozaimasu from your new fan from Canada! I LOVE your video! I felt like I was travelling with you (grandma's room 🤣) I would take that cruise in a heart beat. It is a dream of mine to someday visit Japan. I was surprised that it was not more expensive ( I predicted at least 1,000US). I have watched other ferry tours, travel vlogs, etc., and I cannot believe how spacious your room was (almost too big for one person)...the food looked so fancy and delicious! In Canada in the city where I live, one night at a fancy hotel would cost the same as what you paid for this 3 day voyage. I look forward to your other videos! 💜
I would love taking a trip like this! And having your own bathroom on such a long trip is a joy! We take it for granted here in the USA that traveling on ships we will have our own baths I think. Yet, I would love to stay in one of those pod sleeping bunks! So cute and cozy!
Thank you so very much for all the vlogs on Japanese ferries. I will plan to travel through Japan using ferries and trains in 2024. Hopefully, all travel restrictions would have ended by that time.
Loved it , great ferry great accommodation, food looked good, Grandmas is pretty posh ! Always fun to travel and being free to do what you want to do when you want to is such a luxurious time , Im hoping when we come to JAPAN IN APRIL 23 wewill get the privilege of some ferry travel too🌈🍓🍰👍🏾
Thank you for this beautiful n fun video..Think that price is very cheap.wow love the food. You are so fun with all that drinks.LOl..At times me hoping yiu will not fall overboard LOL..Hope you did get the gym look of J.C. LOL..Yup bitter melon is famous here in the Caribbean .Love your ferry video.
Konnichiwa! Genki desu ka? This video was subarashii. Your room was ookii and clean. The food looked oishii. Yes, in Australia divers can go in safe cages to view sharks! Arigato, for your "lonely" video. Cheers from Lynne in Australia. 👍😘👍🇦🇺🇯🇵 xxx
I LOVE PRAWN ,SALMON,COD, TROUT AND SUSHI, BUT MEAT FREE , ONLY FISH AND VEGGIE DISHES ! PRAWN IS MY FIRST FAVOURITE FOOD! THE LARGER, THE BETTER ! I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE FOOD IN ASIA IS MORE HEALTHY! I LOVE SAMPHIRE SEAWEED OVER HERE IN THE UK. ANYWAY, I LOVE CHINA AND JAPANESE CUISINE AMAZING AND PRESENTATION LIKE SUSHI! I LOVE THE SUSHI WITH SALMON FILLET A ND RICE!
I realized once that I heard that elevator voice; I had seen this ferry before. But I am sure that they were in a lower classroom than you. You indeed have a "taste for Refinement" as to your choice of room and when you travel. At least now I know that there is such luxury available on such ferries, so that if I am ever able to travel to Japan there is a large selection of accommodations for every price range that I maybe willing to pay depending on the length of travel.
I loved that room I would have spent my time on the balcony if it was nice weather getting a tan. I like the look of most of the food except raw fish I think it is because we were never brought up to eat it so the fine dining would have been wasted on me.
I could live on that ship! I love the water, and I love being on a boat, and it's one of my dreams to have a houseboat or something similar, o live on.. doesn't need to be anything big or fancy. Just enough for me and my wife and our dogs. This ship looks amazing, to me.
What a great trip man I love your videos next time man I wish I could go with you we can have some sashimi and some other great stuff from Japan arigato
great video, the room looks better now, than the one of the picture, it looked SOO outdated, like an early 90's room, the pictures must be old, that room is more stylish and modern definitely an update!
I found myself watching this again because well I couldn't find my remote and I cooked a great deal yesterday for thanksgiving and well now I'm relaxing so what exactly is your complaint the room is bigger than you expected? Just playing with you Shiba I'm listening to my dog fricken snore and I know I have to go downstairs and cleanup the kitchen and I soooooo do not want to do it. Safe travels as always Shiba!!
It was definitely value for money compared to some of the other rooms... but those chairs do not look comfortable and the room looked tired and worn. I've seen the 'Western' and 'Japanese' food routes on this and I have decided I am not that type of gourmet. The Stateroom Twin B on this ship has a more pleasant atmosphere and from what I have seen, the restaurant food is better. If I was going to spend a lot of money on a one way ferry trip, I would take that option.
Love All Your Vlogs And You Give Out Great Info And You Allways Say How Many Pasangers Can Board The Ships But On Most Vlogs You Dont See many Of Them When You Go To Eat There Is No One There Just You The Same When You Go Round The ships No More Than A Hand Full Of Passengers
Really good video I never did this go on a ferry when I was out in Japan ,the food I'd be where's the plate of food ,the food wasn't enough but the views were beautiful. Did you have a hangover at all.ha ha .loll
In sweden the trips are between 24 to 48 hours. We go to dance, eat, smörgåsbord", have drinks and maybe se our favorite artist sing and preform! Just have fun! We spend a very small time of trip in bed! Sleep is for later. 😊
@@shibatravel these are basically short haul cruises, without the concerns for transportation. In Japan, the transport function is equally important, and for many islands this is the main access point.
I honestly have never been on a ship but its been my dream to take a 5 or 7 day ride around anywhere on a ferry. Maybe one day hopefully but I dont think it's gonna happen sure does look amazing tho abd love the ocean! Love your channel I watch it all the time.
The price seems correct to me since the meals are included (they are correct in choice, taste and quantity ?). OKAY. Grandma's retro style is from when the ship was built, which means this one needs an update... (LoL). But the real question is in comparison with the price of the same journey either by train (Shinkansen or regional), by plane or by bus, or for the price and/or the time, possibly including the hotel. For me, the price is very good, especially for a leisure trip. Wonderful trip, thank you.
Very nice ferry, doesn't hurt too tie a good beer night once in awhile too. U spent that kind of money on yourself for trip just too sail, would of been better if whole family went and enjoy for that amount too.🤗🌞...
I LOVE THE SMALL PORTION'S. I LOVE COCKLES, (OUT OF SHELL IN BRINE ORVVINEGAR) SALMON, COD, RAINBOW TROUT, CATFISH , PRAWNS. I LOVE CHINESE AND JAPANESE CUISINE. I FORGOT TO ADD THAT I LOVE CAVIAR! I WAS INTRODUCED TO IT BY MY GRANDMOTHER AND GREAT AUNT AND ANOTHER AUNT . THEY TOOK ME TO A POSH RESTAURANT CALLED WINFIELD '08..... IT WAS WONDERFUL. THE SMALL PORTION'S FILLED ME UP ,BUT PRICE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH! BUT WORTH THE PRICE!
The room was decorated like from the 70s. Old fashioned. It did not look comfortable. But the little patio or whatever outside the door was nice. Great view.
