I was able to get me a shiny lugia on my soulsilver game. It took me over six months to get it but was worth it. I’ve been trying to get a copy of heartgold but I can never find it. If you know a place I can get a copy please let me know.

It's definitely the easiest 1/8192 hunt you can do and it's hard to say what a worst case could be just because your never know even seeing the 3 at a time could go 20k resets or 100 haha.

@ShinyHunterGojia i completely agree, I've been running around in the grass looking for different colored pokemon since 2017 and whether its 1/8192 or 1/4096 full odds is what really gets me excited now

@OutlierCaliber That's when I started shiny hunting as well, haha. Any kind of hunting still gets me excited. I need to get back to full odds hunting, but I kinda blew through all of my targets in 2022, so I have no idea what to hunt atm.

No, they are still 1/4096 in bdsp. Also, shiny charm only affects eggs for some reason in those games. I have no idea why.

Mine are loopy capture cards. I bought them off people on Twitter, but you can go DS capture and find info on how to send in a ds to get capture cards put in. Or buy a card to install yourself.

The term full odds just means you are hunting at the base 1/8192 or 1/4096 for gen 6 and up.

@@ShinyHunterGojia I know it's full odds, it's just not as special when it's forced. Imagine finding shiny Rayquaza without even trying for it. Can't really emulate that feeling when you know it's bound to happen

@ShinyHunterGojira It's not special tho. If there are a million shiny Rayquaza, it's no longer a rare Pokémon. If I can be traded a shiny from wonder trade, it's no longer a rare Pokémon. Shinies used to really matter when it was this mythical thing you may never in your life obtain. When there are lots of something because people work to manufacture them, it's not rare. In my opinion, shiny hunting has killed all the excitement of finding shinies. Even legit shinies I find don't matter to me anymore because EVERYONE has multiple of them. Just my opinion but if you dig deep and reminisce on your first ever shiny, you'll see that it meant way more than the last one you found

@@ShinyHunterGojia To add to that, any excitement you do get from finding shinies is just relief from not having to farm for it anymore. It's not a release of dopamine because something unbelievable just happened, it's just exciting because you can move on to the next boring grind
