This is a phenomenal workout to build up sweat, flexibility, strength, balance all at a good pace. I enjoyed the no talking setting with lovely music, clear written instructions and timer. The stretching bit is wonderful to loosen up the tired muscles. Thank you Jules.
This exercise was great. It worked every muscle in my body which you don’t find in most fitness programs. With some modifications I was able to keep up. I am definitely going to add this workout as one of my favorite routine workouts. Thank you for showing us seasoned citizens how to become strong by moving daily.❤
Hi Jules! After a succession of joint replacement operations over the last 4 years, I was really unfit and at the age of 68, not ready to vegetate. I found your channel 6 weeks ago and although I started with the shorter disco/ 60’s routines, I’ve since transitioned to your longer 30+ minute routines and I’ve begun incorporating weights several times a week. Your videos are excellent, with the minimum of chatter and I love the music which gets me moving. Thanks in part to you, I’ve lost 5lbs in weight and am feeling much fitter too. Keep up the great work 👍🏻xxxx
Oh yay!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know about your progress and that you're enjoying the variety of workouts. I'm very excited for you to be seeing improvements in your strength and fitness and I look forward to reading about your progress again in the future (if you wish to share it).💪
Whew! This was a real challenge for me and I’m amazed I could do it (with some slowing down and modifications along the way). I could have never imagined I would work out like this at 74!! Thank you Jules-
I have to say, I am amazed at all of the fit seniors I have on my channel. Two years ago I would never have imagined creating these for seniors but I get so many comments/messages from seniors like you who CAN do it. I always get a smile on my face when I think of seniors taking care of their bodies and staying strong. So many seniors just stop moving and that's the problem. Kudos to you for taking care of yourself and for continuing to move. If all seniors did the same, we'd have far more healthy seniors enjoying life more, and continuing to live independently. I'll keep doing what I'm doing and hope to reach more seniors!
Wowzer! I am 69 and so amazed at how I am progressing with your workouts. I did modify a bit with this one as you suggested.. gonna keep on going. Thank you!!❤
I am a fit 57 year old and was looking for a new walking workout for myself. You are fantastic!! I love all the variety on your channel. I am so glad I found you. And I love the fact you don't talk and you give the ques on the screen and listen to your wonderful music.
Welcome to my channel, Angela! Thank you so much for letting me know that you're enjoying these workouts and for providing feedback. I hope you continue to enjoy the workouts as you get through them:)
Thanks Jules. It’s so nice to have meaningful exercise without any commercial breaks. You are amazing and passionate about workout. Love these videos. 2 Improved Health Reply
I too was impressed I stuck it out. There were moments that my arms were rebelling but I talked them into continuing. This is definitely being added to my favorites! Thanks Jules
Thanks Carrie! I'm glad to read you could manage the workout without having to put the weights down (but, by all means, if it's needed that is okay, too!).
4lb weights entire way through Apple Watch Setting: Mixed Cardio Active Calories: 240 Total Calories: 295 Average HR: 140 Approx steps: 3,100 New to your channel and not disappointed! I’ve been doing home workouts 6-7 days a week since Covid started and this was a wonderful video! Arms are on fire! I’ll be searching your channel for more videos 😊 Thanks!!
Welcome to my channel, Stephanie! Just so you know, I create gentle, beginner and intermediate workouts. If you go to the playlists, you'll find the videos categorized there. I think the intermediate workouts would likely suit you best. As you get through videos, let me know if you have any requests or recommendations. I hope you enjoy them!
Better than pretty good, Kathryn! More like phenomenal. Can you imagine if everyone took care of themselves like you do? It'd be a wonderful thing to see more older adults be strong and fit as they age. You're a great role model.
This is a wonderful low impact multi-discipline workout. At 72 with a history of physical fitness stymied by a disc bulges caused by an osteophyte complex stopped my running programs. I combine stretching with TRF to maintain weight, but cardio fitness is a problem. HIIT in the low impact walk zone is just the thing. Thank you Jules😊
I’m so glad this workout works well for you. If you liked this one, you’ll find lots more at the same level under my intermediate level playlists. Kudos to you for continuing to find workouts that work for what your body needs.
Hi Jules! I had forgotten that I started with 3lb weights last time and then switched to 1 lb. I haven't been able to find 2 lb weights. So this time I did 3 lb weights all the way through and it really challenged me but I did it! I like this workout a lot and appreciated all of the arm stretching throughout and the actual arm stretching at the end felt incredible....thank you!
Just finished doing this workout and enjoyed every bit of it. The most important thing is that you enjoy it doing dancing or singing along. That is why it does not seem like a workout. Time flies away just like that. Moreover it was a fantastic coordination lesson too while doing those different moves. Thanks for that. You are brilliant at making all those wonderful workout videos. Thanks again for making me more energetic as the days go by. Stay blessed Jules❤️
I was thinking about my arms and shoulders today and decided to do this workpot. It isuch a good arm workout (cardio too!) and I am happy to say it was much more doable for me today. That makes me happy because my arms are often a struggle. Thanks for making this video, Jules!
Hi Jules! I tried this workout with 3 lb. weights and got through the first 10 minutes before switching back to 1 lb. ones. I guess I need to get some 2 lb. weights. But either way, I SO enjoy this one! It's great for my arms, the music is so good and it's very energizing. Thank you!
It's amazing how much harder a workout can be going from 1 to 3 lbs. It's great that you tried it, though and now know you can likely move up to 2 lbs from the 1 lb. Progress:)
Thanks Monika! I likely shared it with you already, but just so you know I create 3 levels (gentle, beginner and intermediate) and categorize them all in the playlists. If you liked this one, you can find more like it in the 'intermediate level' playlists.
Thanks so much, Maureen. If you only want the no-talking videos, you can find them all together in a playlist on my channel, or otherwise on my website at www.improvedhealthforseniors.com Thanks for letting me know that you're enjoying them.
This was a fantastic workout! Physical activity has always been a big part of my life; and being 63 is all the more reason to keep at it. I really enjoy incorporating light dumbbell workouts into my exercise routine; and this workout provided that and so much more! Easy to follow, nice music, and fun! Thanks so much for providing this safe, practical workout! I'll definitely be checking out your other videos!
Thank you! Just so you know, I create gentle, beginner and intermediate level workouts (both seated and standing). I categorize the workouts in the playlists and also on my website (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). I hope you enjoy more of the workouts as you try them out. Welcome to my channel!
Yeah! Almost 76 end of the month, even with knee problems and a left shoulder that should be replaced....aches and pains.... I did the whole shabang except for a few modifications on the left arm....I have built myself some positive endorfine! Thank you so much, like this personal trainer a lot!
Thank you for your wonderful comment. I'd like to wish you an early happy birthday and all the best for your 76th year! Kudos to you for continuing to exercise to stay strong, healthy and very mobile!
What a great workout! Since I retired a little over a year ago I've been doing many of the workout videos on youtube and I must say I'm tired of them! Many times I turn off the sound because I get tired of the chatter. This workout was like a breath of fresh air and certainly a new challenge! The music was perfect and I'm still cooling down. I know my arms will thank me!
Oh yay! That makes me happy! I have lots of no-talking workouts since a lot of people feel the same way as you do. I try to offer both talking and no-talking since there are others who prefer I explain the exercises. You can find more of my no-talking videos under my playlists:) I hope you enjoy more of them as you get through them. 💖
Complimenti!!!👍👍👍
THAT was so satisfying. When I clicked on it it came up at 17 minutes. Obviously that's as far as I got last time I tried this one. But now, I just finished the whole thing, non stop. Thanks Jules. You work miracles.
I had torn my rotator cup and had gone through therapy, but still needed surgery and I started working out these workouts and 10 days away from my surgery. I started feeling so much better very little pain and believe me it’s so nice not to have the surgery. I will continue doing these exercises for a very long time. The doctor told me not to work out anymore until surgery. I’m glad I didn’t listen to him.
Welcome to my channel, Belinda! My workouts are suitable for all ages so I am glad to read that you enjoyed this workout. If you liked this one, you'll find more workouts at this fitness level under my 'intermediate standing workouts' playlist. I hope you enjoy more of the workouts as you try them out. ❤️
Lovely workout. After 20 minutes I felt to lower my arms to get the blood back into my hands. Background music is often irritating but not here, also ample time for the cooling down.
It was too hot in South Alabama to get all of my laps outside, so I looked up a walking with weights videos, and there you were. Thank you. Great finish before I get my housework going.
Thanks for joining me, and welcome to my channel! Just so you know, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) and categorize them all in the playlists. If you liked this one, you'll find more at this pace under the 'intermediate' level playlists.
Another short but so intense. I had to modify a few which just gives me room for improvement and a challenge. Used my "3" but want to get to using my 4# weights. Thanks so much.
This afternoon I found myself sitting around feeling blah. I made myself get up and do this workout and was surprised how much energy I felt afterwards. Thank you!!
Tough! Cognitive vs physical…gotta work on this for sure. Felt like all my movements were under water, but, it is 80 degrees (F) here in Missouri with 75 % humidity at 9 a.m. Thanks for this challenge!
Loved this workout Jules. Using the lighter weights was awesome. I feel great, and I 'm so thankful that I have you to workout with. You make it so much fun.... the music is also amazing, I can't get enough. THANK-YOU!!
Afternoon Jules just Did this work out i did most of the waits work out didn't put my waits down just did other exercises with them i must say when i put the waits down my arms felt light as a feather ha ha loved it thank you 💞 xx
Another wee hidden gem. I went through your channel looking for walk with weight....this is so great on a day when time isnt on your side and u still get your strength in. Few great ab exercises here that I've not seen before. Its great finding these... Absolute magic❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoy all your workouts but this one was especially appealing. I am rebuilding arm strength after breaking a wrist (hiking, I tripped) and this workout felt good.
I keep saying that every new workout I try is my favorite. But this is THE one! I used 3 pounds in each hand and it was a challenging workout. I usually complete 3 workouts of yours each day. Thank you so much for helping us become/stay healthy and active.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Pat. I definitely appreciate knowing that you're enjoying the workouts (and feel honoured that you do 3 of mine a day!).
Thank you so much for this workout. I had quite a day at the office. Not as active as I used to be and I missed running. Been months!!! This truly helped me de-stress.
I'm only 49 but I feel like 89 after babying some injuries for the past 22 months. This is the second workout of yours that I've done and I've enjoyed it so much because I feel like I'm dancing most of the time. Thanks so much for putting these out there for us. Baby steps....
Hi Sasha, I'm very happy to read that you're enjoying the workouts that you have tried so far. It sounds like you're doing the right thing with the baby steps due to injuries. I think you'll likely bounce back quickly and feel like 49 again soon...or maybe 29.😉
I'm recovering from a heart ablation and I didn't use the weights as much. I really enjoy how you don't talk and the 30 second change in movement. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for your feedback, Judi. I categorize the no-talking workouts together in the playlists and also on my website which will make it easier for you to find them. My website is www.improvedhealthforseniors.com
I loved this routine! Some of the arm movements were a bit challenging but it really was fun! The very hardest part was coordinating my arms and legs! Thanks, Jules
Loved this one again today! It has become my go-to workout when I’m short on time and want a great all-in-one! Thanks Jules! You’ve inspired so many to care for and appreciate the beautiful body they’ve been given!
This is one of my new go to's - I toggle between 1-5lbs weights and trying to do 5 all the way through while using proper form .. This one and the quick tabbata are awesome
We did this one this morning. We picked up our 2 lb weights, but put our 1 lb ones nearby, in case we couldn’t make it all the way through with the bigger ones. There were a couple of times I wasn’t sure I’d make it, but I did. What a great workout!!
