I have had alot of enquiries about how much did it cost to get my BA XR6 Turbo back on the road. I bought this car with a blown motor and decided to build it back up again - financially economical of course!
No, this wasn't a "No Expense Spared" build, but some things I decided to spend the extra money for one reason or another.
For example:
I bought a better condition second hand turbo.
I bought a brand new clutch kit to replace one with plenty of life remaining.
I put together a larger fuel system than originally planned and ran E85
etc.
Being that dyno time isn't cheap, who wouldn't want to maximize the potential? For me, it was a balance of power and reliability.
