With the radio one I think he was trying to say that its casual to swear in public and in front of kids. Which is the opposite of the U.S.

Hello Mauro. Hoping you are well today. I can’t imagine anyone being louder than Americans lol. But there is a stereotype here that Italian Americans are loud but I just assumed that was the American in them lol. My family lives in a multigenerational home. I think more and more low income people are doing this here because child care has gotten very expensive and in our case this is has alowed us to come together and buy a house in a small town. Better schools and less crime. We all work together to be able to afford it. I think on the financial thing, there is such a vast difference in incomes here that people can come across as bragging if they talk about how much they make. And poorer people have a sore spot about it. Americans can cook, lol… everyone I know was taught to cook growing up… the difference being it is so much cheaper to eat boxed and prepared stuff that at least in my experience we only really cook much “homemade” stuff on holidays. My daughter and her fiance live in a city and it’s actually considerably cheaper for them to just eat out than to stock up on supplies to cook a homemade meal. Thank you for the video it was nice to hear about your home for a change. 😀
