@@lukehale9085 I just thought that someone would like to watch any of these films, but it is difficult to search for a film on the Internet just by its title, without indicating the year of release. And also look for the title in the video without timecode...
• Don't Go in the House 1980 • Motel Help 1980 • Butcher Baker, Nightmare Maker 1981 • Graduation Day 1981 • Hell Night 1981 • X-ray 1981 • Girls Nite Out 1982 • The Dorm That Dripped Blood 1982 • The Slayer 1982 • Fatal Games 1984 • The Initiation 1984 • Body Count 1986 • Blood Harvest 1987 • The Majorettes 1987 • Return to Horror High 1987 • American Gothic 1988 • Amsterdammned 1988 • Cheerleader Camp 1988
YES FOR POPCORN. such a gem of a horror movie. demon knight & popcorn for a double feature of who can ham it up more. saw 12 of these 35. rest are now added to my watch list.
1) Popcorn has the sweetest pre-slash montage ever. I smile every time I hear that song. 2) Demon Knight gave me one of my favorite quotes: "hodunk podunk møtherfůcker!" 🤣
@@DavidSeesholtz I forget the name but it took place in like Hatie or some where like that and I remember the girlfriend ended up being the villain and the boyfriend got got in the end.
@@EDsavant You might be thinking of "Ritual". It's not officially a TFTC movie, but they added the Crypt Keeper to it in some releases. It was Jamaica though btw. There was also a "Tales from the Crypt" anthology movie in 1972.
Firstly, Ted Raimi is a horror god. From the original Sam Raimi films right up to Ash vs Evil dead he totally nails his roles. Secondly, go see Psycho II (having seen the original first), despite bad reviews it has a great story and one of my fave film endings of all time.
Thank you! There were some very rarely mentioned films on this list. Even of they're older, so often movie lists are always the same stuff! Even the "hidden gems" videos. No... no they aren't! This was a good list!
Three great slashers right in a row! Dressed to Kill is classic DePalma; as much as a ripoff as it was of NOES3, Bad Dreams was quite a good ride. Visiting Hours is a good early slasher with it's good moments. In spite of it's very jarring shift in tone an hour in, Mute Witness is overall well worth a watch
I've seen Moonstalker, Visiting Hours, Twitch of the Death Nerve, Bad Dreams, Dressed to Kill, The Initiation, The Toolbox Murders, Silent Scream, The Mutilator, Nightmare Beach, Basket Case 3, Body Bags, Popcorn, Demon Knight, Pieces, Edge of the Axe, Slaughter High, Terror Train, Blood Rage and Psycho 2.
Popcorn and Slaughter High are fantastic! Two classics right there. I have a question though. Why is Campfire Tales and Tales From The Crypt Presents: Demon Knight on this list? They're not Slasher movies, lol.
So a few of these films are actually pretty obscure but the vast majority are very well known in the horror community. The people clicking on the videos should be well aware of most of these movies. And franking, many of these films are NOT slashers. Not all horror films are slashers. How is Demon Night a slasher? A couple of other great unknown slashers are Killing Spree and Sinistre (1996)
Yeah, you should have put in the title "35 Slasher Movie You Probably Haven't Seen if you are a Millennial or Gen Z, and think all horror movies came out after 2000."
Leave it to WhatCulture, to make an entire list on "films you haven't heard of" and then proceed to spoil the living c r a p out of every single one of them.
Btw silent scream isn’t a slasher if anyone wants to watch it, it probably the closest you could get to one though, not saying it’s bad just not really a slasher
~~One look at the thumbnail&immediately knew it was one of the more wickedly, bad-ass movies ever from the very first second. Until roughly 8min before the end, w/o lame ending it's A++. B- With it.
The first time I saw Jennifer Rubin was in A Nightmare On Elm Street: Dream Warriors I fell in love. Anything that has her in it is an automatic like for me doesnt matter if it ends up sucking bc it most likely will not for me.
Wow thank you for the List! I've only seen 10 on the list, so O have some work to do! 😉 Would like to mention a few of my favorite under-rated/talked about Slashers in the hopes that some out there will enjoy them as much as I do! Humongous (1982) - Not sure why people don't talk about this fil more? The opening is quite graphic and emotional, but there's plenty of other films that could be said the same about that somehow get a lot of love and attention on "lists" of this type. Anyway, love this film, bit of a slow burn and mystery as to what's actually happening and why, but i love that about it! Cast is great and fun and the script is solid and natural. Anyway give it a shot if you can find a good HD stream! I was lucky to catch a 1080p upload to RU-vid a few yrs back from the Scorpion release I think. Sadly it's gone now but if you look I think there are some decent options available. I picked up the Blu-Ray for my collection, but beware it is a bit pricey if you can find it 👍 Open 24 Hours (2018) DON'T watch the Trailer! Look at the movie image, like the One Sheet or the Blu-ray cover , but not the Trailer! Gives way too much away! This one IS (as i type this) available on RU-vid in 1080p so check it out asap! If you enjoy slashers I don't think you'll be disappointed. Cold Prey (2006) & Cold Prey 2 (2008) Ok this one is fairly standard slasher formula...BUT it's done very well and in an interesting setting and it has a great cast and decent back-story mystery. Love it! Especially watching it in the Winter with snow on the ground lol So Part 2 picks up exactly where 1 ends, just like Halloween 2. So basically you need to watch both for the full story and conclusion. Well worth it imo Hope you find some enjoyment with any of these! I'll add a few more as they come to me. Cheers 😎👍
Completely disagree about Psycho 2, which completely undid the point of the original story. I'm surprised Anthony Perkins was willing to be part of that abomination.
The teens died in a car accident, that's the version I saw: It's when the covering slips off of one of the bodies did they finally realize they are dead, theb again you must actually watch the movie.
The Tool Box Murders is based on true events, (there were a LOT of inventive serial killers in the US at the time). Just don't bother with the 90s remake. Or do. I'm not your mum.
