Honestly getting 35 with addonless myers is more impressive than 50 on freddy

Myers is really rough without addons, however I feel that running three hex perks with Corrupt is just setting yourself up to have totems cleansed before you can find anyone. I imagine that a build that is designed to gradually diminish your perks only added to the burnout on playing Myers this run, and I think the fact that you got to 35 with this set up is more a testament to your knowledge and ability as a killer than anything else. I personally find anti healing perks like sloppy to be useful on Myers because of his smaller terror radius in tier 2 being very punishing to survivors who don't heal, but everyone has different playstyles. Don't give up on this one, Otz! Myers is one of my favorite killers to play in this game

There's a lot of irritating things when you play as a killer in DBD, but cancelling grabs is probably the worst one for me among the things that happen regularly. I got so annoyed seeing 8:49... You can momentarily lose all the pressure and get absolutely nothing from it, even though you should get a value of 1 or even 2 hits. If it's impossible for devs to make it that there's no cancelling of the grab animation, then it should at least be: grab animation cancelled => a single hit, not NOTHING. Thanks Otz (or not) for all your content, you're one of the healthy pillars of this not-always-nice community.

I think in the Haddonfield game you should've camped the OOO Meg until she got to 2nd state because you knew where 2 other survivors were so one gen at most would've finished while you were camping her until her 2nd state, then you could've had her on death hook and potentially had a 3v1 situation with 2 gens. Just my opinion

23:47 I think this was the biggest mistake in this whole game. Letting go of stalk would"ve bodyblocked her and even if that bodyblock had lasted 0.1 seconds it would've been enough to get the Meg to die. I get it was in the heat of the action but man talk about a game changer

3 hex perks along with a perk that forces survivors to run around searching for things to do in early game? I'm surprised you didn't notice the effect that probably had on your totems.

RIP for the Meyers streak. Really wish that sacrificial wards were yellow offerings and way more common for killer's bloodwebs. It's got to be agonizing to get sent to Haddonfield and Ormond 90 times in a row.

For a buff: remove the limited stalk available on each survivor so he is more like Ghostface, with infinite potential to insta-down if he can get the stalk off. The only cap per surv necessary would be for add-ons like infinite T3 and Tombstone combo so you couldn't trap someone in a corner and cheese them to death. Secondly, stalking multiple survivors at once should be noticeably faster than just stalking them one at a time.

Base kit myers is one of the only killers where it's not "I should've used my power better" it's "I wasn't 100% perfect in every single aspect of the game that isn't my power so I lost"

23:48 here's what happened. While Myers is stalking, survivors can go through him and vice versa. If Otz canceled his stalk he would've been able to bodyblock. That whole section is Otz's fault. The survivor also did a big brain play by cancelling the unhook action the moment otz stopped stalking. The survivor anticipated that move, forcing an m1. Only those with experience recognised what happened there.

That is really rough ending as yesterday I did notice the streak was over but didn't look into why. This says a lot about the problems that are OoO and how the statistics are off since only 1 person needs to run it for 4 survivors to have value from it and also the problem with the proto mind game of there being an obession as you have to plan around DS/Unbreakable It was still a fantastic run and even tho MM gets less love then ghostface as an old school player when he got released, you brought great joy here Otz, so thank you for that.

The fact that you can do this without add-ons is an achievement within it self man, specially on Myers which is tough. That 35 Windstreak is nothing more than just pure amazement and shows how skilledful you truly are!

Going solo queue against Myers is such a pain because you always get dipshit teamates who don't notice him stalking them.

That last match really is a shame, even though you lost the streak you pulled the best you could out of the match and did very well and got a 3K. Even with all of the Balance Landings, DS, Unbreakable, and even an OoO all on Haddenfield. It’s crazy how little some killers can do in situations like that and you really pulled your best effort and still got a amazing result. Best luck to you on your next streak Otz!

I highly enjoy the effort Otzdarva puts into making this series and putting in the work for these unbelievable win streaks on killers. The only worry I have about this series is that people who watch will misunderstand that "winning" in this game as killer is achieving the goals that Otz has set for himself, which is the 4K/3K hatch. This is not the standard killers should set themselves to in my opinion; for example, the second game is at least a draw looking at the point totals, and that's with both sides using some of the most powerful perks (no addons on Mike, even more impressive!) TL;DR Killer players, don't beat yourselves up because you don't kill all four game after game, because if that was easy then there would be no survivor players wanting to play!

To echo what someone said in chat; Otz is so fucking wholesome and positive, it’s hard to get sick of him like I have other DbD RU-vidrs and Streamers who moonwalk and devolve into shit talking the people they’re with or against... Sometimes even when they’re falling into some pretty bad gameplay habits themselves, too. I love you, Otz. Never change.

I love playing Myers and my loadout is as follows: Surge Corrupt Intervention Dark Devotion Remember Me Myers doesn't have great mobility so hitting the obsession not only helps you in late game (especially when the exit gates are far apart) but it gives you undetectable for 30 seconds allowing you to sneak up on survivors even in tier 3, countering that pesky OoO! Surge helps gen regression and corrupt helps the early game. I have a good turnout with this loadout getting 3 kills most games! Thought it could be good for the streak :)

Otz is so awesome, I think he’s too critical of himself.

I know this is an older video, but I’ve been a MM main for quite a while purely because of a specific build. Currently on a 83 game win streak w/ it. Add ons: Fragrant Tuft of Hair + J.Myers Memorial Perks: Merciless Storm, BBQ & Chili, Pop, and Tinkerer The synergy between all of these perks and add-ons is god tier. You will be able to get an abundance of use out of each one, nothing is wasted. The early game is usually slow, but w/ unlimited tier 3, you can quickly get ahead especially considering the memorial Add on which will speed up the process. Unlimited tier 3 yields quick downs and every time you hook, BBQ and Pop go into effect. This allows you to consistently apply pressure to the right areas. Whether it’s backing survivors off gens or catching someone off guard, the use you get out of these 2 perks is incredible. Then there’s Merciless and Tinkerer. These perks go together perfectly w/ pop (as we all know). Not only that, but I find that because MM’s terror radius is so large, survivors tend to panic and miss skill checks more often which then leads to merciless. Tinkerer gives you the extra edge which allows more opportunities to get extraordinary use out of unlimited tier 3 and pop. Fast downs and gen regression. Unlimited tier 3 makes you a constant threat. BBQ & Chili is constantly feeding you intel because of the fast downs + hooks. Pop is almost always active because of the same reason, fast downs + hooks. Merciless is a safety precaution in case you’re in middle of a chase or you’re on the way to regress that same gen. Tinkerer may also trigger at the same time which leads to higher chances of catching your targets off guard and applying Pop in time before the gen is completed. Obviously, this isn’t a complicated build. It’s fairly basic, but that’s why it works so well. The amount of intel gained and pressure applied makes it extremely difficult for survivors to counter. Once you reach tier 3, the snowball effect hits so fast that the survivors hardly ever realize what’s happening before it’s too late. Downsides: Fast gen progression in early match, survivors no longer need to heal, aura reading perks can give survivors a head start and prolong downs. Despite the downsides, the strength of this build is so powerful that the benefits outweigh the cons by a mile. I’m sure I’m not the first one to use this build, but I had to mention it just because it’s been so good for me.

One change I'd like to see to Myers is survivor stalk recharging over time. It's ridiculous that you can be left with 2 survivors and have no power at all.

Hey ots your probably won’t see this but do you think maining Myers would be a good idea I have played maybe 10 games with him so far and all of those have been at least a 3k if you think he is good what perk build would you recommend for him?

I think hex: retribution is hindering this build a bit. On its own (or even with undying) it's very good. But since it's taking away from the very crucial ruin/undying combo, it just doesn't have as much value. It gives a strong early game but with myers Its not enough to snowball. Maybe replace it with a nurse's calling? Surveillance? Idk but retribution doesn't have as much value here if it gets rid of a potential extra ruin totem

Nice games man! Myers without addons is really rough, 35 wins is absolutely amazing Otz! Those couple of pallets where you could not tier to tier 3 was unfortunate :/ Not sure which pallet you meant which hurt you in the beginning of the video, those pallets on haddonfield which meg dropped were quite hard on myers, not sure if you meant those but those were the roughest imo. Nevertheless you played well man! (I main ghostface without addons, have been in rank 1 / red ranks for a while. I kinda wanna see how you would do and if you can get 50 wins on my boy ghosty :O)

I believe win streaks are more an indicator of luck than an indicator of skill.

Otzdarva and Not Otzdarva is a lot like the difference between flammable and inflammable. That being said love your streak videos, I know its frustrating as hell losing a streak but they are amazing to watch. Keep up the good work and try not to get too discouraged. Win or lose, you got a lot of people supporting you.
