35028 'Clan Line' Battles The Weather - End of Southern Steam - 9/7/24

57 Years since the last fires were dropped on the Southern region of British steam, Merchant Navy No.35028 'Clan Line' was out to commemorate that last run.
Heading the Railway Touring Company's End of Southern Steam special, the tour would run from London Victoria to Yeovil Junction, before heading down to Weymouth and back to Waterloo.
In this film we cover the very fast down run via the West of England mainline, before moving onto it's return, as it climbs the 1in50 Upwey bank out of Weymouth.

A remarkably good effort considering the gloomy and damp weather! Even Weymouth was not very inspiring yesterday! For once I was glad to be sitting in "Premier Dining" rather than chasing around looking for video vantage points. You have covered the event splendidly! Vic

Wonderful ! reminds me of my 1950/60's trainspotting days. And I still have my Ian Allen combined volume's and shed directory in the loft. Makes me wonder where they get the coal these days ? Poland ?

Are the smaller RU-vidrs taking all your revenue? Nearly 30K subs and your views have dropped like wild fire. Alex the Q1 needs some baby wipes..

@@04crymea Now Henry, if you think this argument is about revenue and sink to baseless personal attacks, then you're clearly just projecting your own issues on to me and shown you completely missed the point. For the record, my RU-vid serves only as a creative outlet. The fact it generates any passive income is not my main priority. A lot of my more recent videos have gone unmonetised due to that fact, while the vast majority of its earnings are donated back to heritage projects - as they should be. For example, 100% of the revenue from last month was donated to Thumper 1125. My actual job funds my life. My views on the recent wave of clickbait are simply how I see this platform. My life does not revolve around RU-vid. However, the fact have resorted to generating this spam profile, clearly shows that you have both far too much time and that you have nothing of substance to defend yourself with. You have my permission to embarrass yourself further with this, as it's only reflecting on you.
