Got a sweet deal on some ISR HFC's for my 350Z from an online store. Video is basically a review of how they perform with the ISR Y Pipe and ISR Single GT exhaust. Sound clips of before and after are included! :)
I’m shocked no one has commented properly answering you about the “rattle noise” you’re hearing at low RPMs. Almost every 6 speed 350z and 370z has this clutch/flywheel chatter, mine does it loudly at idle as well. I have an 80k mike HR, that sound is perfectly normal.
You deffo went the best route with this set up last year during lockdown the only back section I could get was the ISR Blastpipe. Yeah well it’s so loud it sounds like a racing Ferrari at 6500 revs ! The downchanging is mental but is way too much for normal neighbourhood driving unless you want everyone to hate you , it actually hurts on the outside of the car. I have high flow cats, Cobra Y pipe and ISR Blast pipe , it’s being changed this week for Cobra unresonated dual exit rear section as my daughter is having it and using it for a daily.

Hey I realize this comment was 10 months ago, but I have a 07 350Z Enthusiast roadster and I am considering running the Invidia cat-back and Y-pipe with the ISR high flow. It is my daily vehicle until I get done with college I was wondering if you could give a little feedback on the setup.
I’ve been watching you for a while dude, back when you were rocking the muffler delete😂! Love the progress man, I’m seriously considering the ISR hi flows paired with my Tomei catback. My Y-pipe is starting to leak, I’m thinking of upgrading to a 370Z y-pipe. My tomei with stock cats is pretty loud, but it’s nowhere near loud as my friend’s 17 stang 5.0. I’m hoping the ISR hi flows will give me that extra volume without messing my sweet tone!
For sure! Really really love it now after a few months of use. When the temps are just right it sounds better than any other Z I have heard in person. right around 75 degrees. Tone changes when its hotter or colder than that to something I am not in love with but still really like.
All 350z don’t burn oil it’s just all the crappy oem oil pumps tend to fail especially after 100,000 miles which leads to all the problems VQs are known to have. idk how Nissan let that slip

Im looking into buying the 1320 H.F.C but, i bought manzo test pipes but right when i hit 3k rpms it sounds like a straight loud trumpets. What would be better to not have a loud trumpet HFC or resonated ?
Little bit of rasp and some drone if you do long highway drives. I have lots of other videos driving the car with this setup and the sound is true to real life.
Do you plan on tuning your Z? Im currently debating on getting these or the resonated test pipes. Live in Cali so it doesn't really matter which route I go since they're both for off road purposes. Looking for more gains at this point.
I might tune it someday. Currently not on the radar. I could be wrong but I feel like these are 50 state legal. I do not have the paperwork anymore though so I cannot verify.
Everything on mine points to front O2 sensor. I haven't done anything about it. My Z is not a show piece so I kind of neglect it when it comes to putting money into it. 😬 If you look at how the rear O2's mount it is highly unlikely they are the cause due to the massive extension that are installed with them.
I got a 05 g35x got ISR y-pipe and single exit from a buddy, I was thinking about getting ISR hfc as well but what I read the HFCs are 2.5 inch piping where the y-pipe is 2.75 inlet. A exhaust shop should be able to weld that right? Or possibly have adapters for that I would say..
Hello great video & review🤙how much louder would you say this setup got with the hfc’s? I’m debating between this exact setup or going with the same thing just megan single catback over the isr catback I don’t want an obnoxiously loud exhaust so that’s why I haven’t decided just yet. Since the megan exhaust has no resonator I’m not sure if it will be too loud with the hfc’s
I would say it got about 30% louder when I put the HFC's on. The ISR system on stock cats is pretty tame. Great sound but it personally left me wanting more. If you go on long drives I do not recommend high flow cats mixed with the ISR system because it does get a little drone in the cabin. In town ripping and tracking though it is an amazing setup! I still love it. The HFC’s add a few decibels and a tiny bit of rasp. It doesn’t really matter but aesthetically under the car it really cleans things up 👌🏼
Ik this vid is old but did your cats rattle? Cz i have them paired with indiviia gemini exhaust and when I accelerate you can hear some rattle noise not toooo loud
Little rasp and yes some highway drone. If you go ISR Single GT Catback there is 0 rasp and 0 drone. Same if you add the y pipe to it. I know this is an older video but I have that exact same sound to the t under lower rpms I was almost 100% it was the cats heat shields are strapped down and don’t rattle I thought it was the honeycomb breaking up but after you replaced yours and still have the rattle it has to be clutch or flywheel chatter. Im disappointed I spent 500$ on cats thinking it was them lol.
I bought them on ebay through enjuku racings store. If your o2 sensors are newer they should not throw a code. I recently started throwing one though but my sensors are original and I have over 180,000 miles on my Z. Thats what the shops are telling me the code is from anyways.
Yes. I can clear it when disconnecting battery but it always comes back eventually. I was told the upstream O2 needed to be replaced when I did it though and I still haven’t fixed it. That’s the code it throws.
