In this video I walk you through the process of installing a AUX and/or bluetooth source into the stock Bose head unit in a 350z.
12 MONTH UPDATE: Still working like a charm but I went back recently and de-soldered the tape eject button. If this is pushed accidentally (after the mods outlined in the video) then the tape 'input mode' will stop working until you disconnect the battery for 15 min to reset the head unit.

Question are you located in the US? If I sent my head unit to you how much would you do the job for?

Nice guide. If I just wanted an aux-in, could I just wire in a female 3.5mm socket to the board as you can see at around 8:20? (as opposed to the male connector and cable you added?) Do I still need the voltage regulator or is that just for the bluetooth module? Thanks!

I think you it'll work with a female socket for aux in. Won't need power either

Wassup Iw run in to problem doing this since Yesterday. Got no sound on left channel. Could be cause i have not cut the circut ??resoldered many times no go one or other channel not working oO

ZEED hi mate. If it's soldered correctly then the problem is somewhere else. I had a problem with a relay in the amp/splitter behind the sub. Had to replace the relay and the sound came back.

ye got back to tape adaptor and works fine. I know Relay is one of them problems. Mine is good. Even Aux jack does not work in my case so thats that. Stick with that freaking tape adaptor for life :/

Hey Martin. What are you exactly using for transform the 12V to 5V. Can you write here any web pages to this device? Also for bluetooth receiver. Thanks 👌🏼

@@MartinMio thanks for the link. Did you get it with the wires connected (when you took it out of the box, wires were already connected)? Did you connect the wires beforehand? Please give details of what the wires are connected to. Thanks

@@iqbal350z i had to connect the wires. You can plug in a regular headphone type cable and solder that your your head unit.

No need to cut the traces, and just use a old tape and take out the insides to avoid the freak out. Great video otherwise. Did you experience any ground loops?

Alru Waldeck If I put a tape in now it would never come out. I wanted to have the door flap in the closed position. But it is an option. And zero grounding loops.

I think so, cos I just replaced the Battery unit of my 350Z 2 years after this Mod and now tells me push eject button, will try and figure out whats going on

I found this: www.tinyosshop.com/tsa6013-aptx-bluetooth-audio-receiver-board but it's 5V. Like he said he also had something in the wire that changed 12V to 5V.
