The history of Mormonism is fraught with land mines that lead many to jettison their faith. This is because of the all-or-nothing approach taken by the leadership that promotes the church and the gospel as one and the same. However, an understanding of the true history that is only now coming to light allows questioning Mormons the flexibility to maintain their faith in the gospel while discarding certain church traditions inherited over many generations. This session will reveal the surprising hidden history and the theological paradigm shift that flows from it.

Since the New Covenant established through Jesus Christ, each Believer is a temple and their own priest. There is no religious institution. We live by the Holy Spirit. We don't need extra books, prophets, and priesthoods. Read Hebrews to find out that Christ is our only Prophet, Apostle, and High Priest. Jesus is Enough!

My husband's great great grandfather Levi Jackman was with David Whitmer when they heard a mob had surrounded the Whitmer home. David led a group of armed men up to the home, it sounds like they snuck up on them. Someone yelled Mormons fall back and the shooting began. One of ours died and three members of the mob lay dead. Blood was shed and Zion was lost. It wasn't over some dumb name for the church.

No we don't have a date but we know it happened.

Prophets were given; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4 Revelation does not have to be some big production. Each talk is a revelation, the different speakers prayerfully ask Heavenly Father what he wants them to say for the perfecting of the saints and it is revealed to them. You just have to have the ears to hear.

non denominational mormonism is the answer...yep. and its fine to build community and church government but...its not the church, its an organization (and should have elected leaders who don't run for office). And that organization should teach that the two are not the one and the spiritual is always above the organization...and the organization does not have authority over the spiritual (for instance if a dad can baptize his son etc) (a family can have sacrament wo approval of the organization if they choose) etc. Also its okay to teach non literalism..for scripture in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon. excommunication from the community is not the Lords say so over someone's exaltation or salvation.
