I have the lower parts of the MASS device and the filled element vials, but I topped it with the Weather Dominator after finding the rest of the MASS device too pricey for my liking. Great review!

Wow! Neat piece. I agree that it’s a bit of a shame that it was smaller than it “should have been” but it’s still a really cool piece. I regret not paying more attention to the Joe products back in 2008. And I have to admit that I LOL’d at the practical applications for the M.A.S.S. Device around the house! Awesome work. :D

I used my Kreo/Lego figures to display with it. The pegs on the back are so Destro can stand on the back and use the hand grips of the weather dominator. Also there was a pyramid of darkness pieces.

Funny part with the doggie. His expression was magic that added to the scene. It's more full review since you featured episode footage from a DVD included in one of the sets. Clips related to the toy are an appreciated production effort. Recreating the M.A.S.S. device beam was a surprisingly beautiful use of a skill I don't see in a toy reviews, but really glad I did. Also, I like the personal insight how you point out the smaller figures depict the scale better. It's an amazing video, and you're finding fun ways to keep toy reviews intriguing :D

I suppose my first (and only, so far) purchase towards Joe collecting was the full DVD of "The M.A.S.S. Effect". I remember when I first saw the mini-series. It was the greatest thing I'd ever seen. Coupled with the toy commercials, I was hooked (still am, apparently). I can almost still feel the anticipation of the next episode. Struggling to not go to the bathroom, at least until a commercial break...; not even so much, then. I can't remember how I knew a daily cartoon was going to follow.. but I can remember it came on everyday, after school, with me in audience. Always wondered why there was no toy of the device. But, now I know. And, knowing is half the battle...

About 15 minutes into this fantastic review. I start to think hmmmmm I know this smooth voice. I look at the maker of the video and to my shock it was Mercy from armchair directors. Great stuff.

That was always one of my favorite mini series from gi joe. Cool

Definitely enjoy your Gi. Joe reviews. Im thinking about getting back into collecting gi. Joes. By far my favorite video is the one you did about the Uss Flag and all 12 chapters of the vintage 80s museum. Only thing you're missing is the Kenner Super Powers. I would love to collect Gi. Joe right now im collecting Marvel legends DC universe/ Multiverse figures and Marvel Select Figures. Thankyou for the Nostalgia toy museum videos. Looking forward to see more.

In the live Justice League action movie, there were three power cubes that were used by Stepponwolf. Could they be the same ones used to power the MASS device? XD

Battle pack #5 was never in my area so my M.A.S.S device sits incomplete in my toy cave sadly it is the only pack missing as I even got the 3figures to have the element filled pods. *sigh* Some day I will fi d it at a reasonable price.😢

What set did the trolley & cubes come from?

1:55 I don't think it qualifies as a true McGuffin because it actually has a purpose and has a function. A real McGuffin is like the Maltese Falcon or the suitcase in Pulp Fiction. They are just objects that drive the plot forward but don't really do anything themselves.

If I may ask, how much did they ring ya for the MASS Device on e-bay?

Here in England we had 'Action Force'. Action Force figures came on the market due to the success sales of the Kenner Star Wars figures. So these figures were the same size and design in thier simple up and down limb movements (before those hideous elbow and knee bending figures which didn't seem to fit in). We couldn't afford to buy both collections so I ended up with some figures from both sets. I had brutal mashup battles with my collections and they have since been passed down to younger family members and my friend's children who enjoy the figures. I think that 'Action Force' was an international force whereas 'GI Joe' was more of a US force. I am not entirely sure about this but I suspect that 'Action Force' merged into G.I.Joe? Also, I have to mention something mysterious about my Star Wars figures. Some of them had a fruity scent. Like dark berry bubble gum. If anyone can clear up this mystery I'd be most grapefruit!
