It gives me such happiness hearing someone else feel exactly the same way about the proton pack I do. As a kid it was something I just instantly wanted, dreamt about. And my love for Ghostbusters never got any less as I grew up. I didn't get the Haslab pack, but I did just a couple of months ago get the new full size Sprite Halloween pack and it was one of the happiest days of my life. It hangs peobdlt proudly on my wall and every single day I just look at it, and smile. It's joy. It took me about 25 years to finally have this dream happen, but so worth it. Sure beats what I did as a kid, putting a vacume cleaner inside a back pack and busting till' I felt good.
I had a few of these as a kid. Destro and Undertow were my top 2. Metal-Head was my next fav. As an adult, I'm collecting certain themes and I'm working on completing this subset. My Dreadnoks are complete which are my favorite subset.
The real ghostbusters was the better show but i love some of filmation designs( specially the villains and prime evils lair that looks like a 19 century building) , another thing i love is the weird backgroinds from the transformation scenes , as a kid i loved its weirdnes like a fair ghost train art.
That version is way cooler than super 7's line. The chrome paint would just end up flaking. Super 7 just came out with the chrome version. People are already saying it's flaking.
I grew up in Vietnam in the 80s, so obviously we didn't get access to all or any of the great shows back then. One of my uncles who had emigrated to the US lovingly sent me a VHS with a bunch of shows including Transformers. But on it were two episodes of the Centurions. And I was entranced by man and machine! It was my favourite show and I couldn't stop watching it over and over. Once we moved overseas I never understood why no one has heard or remembered this show. It still surprises me they've never tried to tap back into this IP ever again. It's such a cool concept and would be amazing to see as a live action movie.
This reissue has been hanging in my room since before Afterlife was in theaters and have watched dozens of real ghostbusters videos, but I too am barely realizing his tail is articulated lol. Great figure
My favorite figure in this faction was the main Iron Grenadier trooper. It was such a wonderfully designed sculpt. Metal Head had become a favorite more recently when a couple years ago my friend pointed out I now resemble the figure that came out when I was I was 12 (though I didn’t then)… and the Classified version that came out a few months ago is nearly a dead ringer for me
I really loved this one Mike and metal head was my fav cobra character during the dic episodes and I love his classified figure I still wish I could get a couple range vipers from Walmart! Hopefully we get. Destro iron grenadine repaint fig soon …
Totally agree about the Demon, great piece. My Dominator is the 2001 version but I like the color scheme better. Great video and I really enjoy your work.
Has anyone ever told you that you sound very similar to the guy from the You S*ck At Cooking RU-vid channel? You both sound like twins in voice and the way you speak. Anyways, great video! I love all your content and re watch your videos constantly!
TMNT and masters of the universe were my jam for sure.i was a little late being born in 83.but they were definitely still around when I was old enough to request toys for Christmas and birthdays.
I loved the Grenadiers when they came out, especially as they all shared the same black and red scheme. Then they came out with a purple and orange guy, a magenta and gold guy, a grey guy… things quickly fell apart.
Say michael mercy can you also a teenage mutant ninja turtles 2003 edition video when you've done all the teenage mutant ninja turtles 1980s&1990s editions videos
So cool! I loved these I.G and had 90% of them, unfortunately 1991 was my last year for joes and toys in general ya know starting high school puts a damper on that kind of fun. Thanks for the memories Mr Mercy
