Small tip: When you inevitably lose the cap for the sticks rather sharp 1/4 inch threat, you can replace it with the cap from a standard bicycle tire hose (tube). It wont cover it all the way, but at least you don't make scratches / holes in things.
After watching your vids, you remind me about my 360 activity in 2014 that I stopped because few professional users can share their knowledge like you, and limited hardware, softw too. you're great and inspiring, I'll be back to try 360 again! thanks!
I just ordered my Insta360 X3 yesterday and in June I will be in Sydney for four nights of a 40 night world trip. So that video gave me some inspiration. I only have ordered the 114cm stick though.

Finished a trip around Australia and found a large extension pole great as so many places you are not allowed drones, but the extra height is great. Will have to consider this one.

cool tip: if you can do this during a subsolar moment (lahaina noon) you can totally remove yourself from the video and don't have to worry about shadows extending from the bottom of the frame.
So I have to ask. If there are threads in the bottom and threads for the camera on top, can you "double stick" and get really crazy? Looking at you Ben!

No, but that is a sign that your footage is the wrong aspect ratio, or resolution. Make sure you export at the same resolution as the original footage 👍

I got my extended stick a few weeks. I recorded some EUC riding. People...Be careful handling the stick. I allmost smashed my Insta360 One R against a pole.

Hey Ben. How do u start and stop the video when the camera is miles away ? Some kind of button or remote? Would be annoying to retract the whole thing everytime
@@BenClaremont nah that is not a reasonable solution. U aren't opening ur phone and the app and all that each time. Especially when doing an activity or sport
@ben Claremont how do you make this camera-rides with an still-360-image ? which software can you use for this.. still-images - taken in RAW and worked on in lightroom - look better than film - but how can i use that 360 images in a film? thanx for tips !
