"Het Eilandje", translated: the little island, is a small port area in Antwerp, Belgium. With lots of small yachts in the docks, it is always a nice place to wander around on a lazy summer day. And if that is not enough to fill your afternoon, you can always visit one of the well-known nearby landmarks of Antwerp:
- Museum MAS - the "big red block" in the video
- Red Star Line Museum
- Port House
One of the highlights of this video is also the temporary artwork called "Beacons of Hope and Light", by Belgian actor Axel Daeseleire together with Austrian artist Adalbert Gans. The artwork was created to bring a message of hope after overcoming the dark days of the recent pandemic.
