Great experiment, from start to end results. Like to drag the planter around with some old seed and check its quality before season, might need to add your invention. Love improvements.

I think what this video shows is how important adjustable pitch systems really are. Some of these closing wheels seemed to do a decent job but failed to be operating either close enough or aggressive enough to really mate the seed trench together. I hypothesize that many closing wheels could be #1 performers if operating at the correct angles to really "stitch" those trenches together as well as get some crumbling action in order to eliminate sidewall smearing and compaction.
