great video man! I'm about to try to install some ART pipes on my 370z this weekend. Will be my first DIY project and your video really helped show how to deal with those demon bolts :)
@@T_Y_G_E_R_ it was a pain in the ass bro, but I got it done! Make sure you have long extensions and a flexible elbow joint at the end so the socket will sit right on the bolt. I used a breaker bar as well. The passenger side came off easy, but the bolt stripped on the driver’s side so I had to use some bolt extractors. ART pipes sounded great though, was worth the trouble. Good luck with the install!
@@ebui91 damn 😭😭yeah I seen this like 36” extended socket with a swivel joint at the end. This guy got both of them off in like 2 minutes with that extension. Appreciate the help! Excited to have them on but stressed to install em 🤣.
Tried installing test pipes the other day that i got recently along with the cat back and it was a nightmare cutting every bolt on the exhast on my 2013 G37 including taking a impact hammer to one bolt for over an hour just to break it loose lol. Then after only one try on the demon bolt it broke my cuzos u joint lol. Since I live in Mass there was a good amount of rust so I'm thinking I may just have to see how much a shop will charge to put them in as I don't know if it'll be worth buying more tools that will probably break lol but I might give this wild set up of extensions a shot before doing so.

Man, I have seen EVERYONE have issue with that same bolt, and they also removed the subframe. I am about to install Greddy's EVO GT Cat back this weekend. Here is to NOT rounding that bolt off!!
Not quite sure what the issue is with these . Had the "Demon bolts" off is less than 5 minutes. With a lift and hand tools replaced the cats with test pipes in about 2 hours or less.
@@thecarizon504 yea I tried the the driver side first and it felt like it was rounding slightly, went to the passenger and it snapped. I sprayed it with PB 2 days ago and drove it hard before trying today. Hoping to God I have better luck tomorrow. Any other advice?
@@SteU4IA are you using a six point or twelve point? The six points would be less likely to round the head. Also make sure you are pressing the socket into the bolt hard so it doesn't want to slip off and round the corners.
Right, I wanted to knock it out early before rust set in. Had about 15,000 miles. They still tighten the crap out of those bolts. Felt like 150-200 foot pounds.
The Carizon I was working on taking my OEM stuff out. Rounded two bolts and snapped a stud on the rear and mid sections due to rust. I just sprayed the hell out of the front section and catalytic bolts I’m dreading it. I had to cut or two of the bolts with a grinder.
Damn. Yeah I have heard the horror stories and seen images. Twisted bits of catalytic converter that are barely recognizable. Nissan really doesn't want you taking these off.
