The fuel pump is super east just make sure. 1. Get a new o ring gasket and i would change the clips connecting the hoses to the fuel pump on the top hat. 2. Make sure if to add clamps to the actual fuel pump lines inside the tank the ones attached to the fuel pump motor since its high pressure those lines will pop out. Other than that its easy bro. 3rd relieve pressure off the fuel lines what i do is take turn the engine and remove the fuel pump fuse and let the car choke. I would do it with an almost empty tank too.
Saw your comment awhile ago and thought I had replied but I guess I didn't. I actually have a complete CJM fuel starvation basket, twin pump, top hat, fuel return, and wiring kit to install.
Hi all. I have installed the transmission oil cooler in place and lined the hoses but didn't hock it up to the transmission lines yet. Im waiting know 2 information that will let me decide the way ill hock up the lines. 1- what if deleted the radiator heat exchanger and kept the oil cooler alone to do the job? Is it effective alone? 2- can any one help me to know the flow directions of the transmission lines which is in and which is out? Thank you all and god bless you man for the professional work and vedios👍🏻
Tifosi F passenger side rear front cooler is an oil cooler, passenger side front cooler is the power steering cooler, driver side front is the transmission cooler.
Which line u use from the transmission line to connect to which outlet of the cooler and where the other outlet goes from the cooler is it through the radiator
Mr Alexander I ran both lines around the side through to engine bay via near the fender well. Oil coolers can be fed from either side. I had a shop do a trans flush, install flex plate, torque converter, trans mount, and connect the lines I ran at same time.
From my understanding most oil coolers are not directional so I don't believe it matters. Either end of the cooler can be the in or out as long as one side is in and one side is out, they are interchangeable.
I installed my cooler. The question is, which cooler line did you use? Now if you could film that exactly (while running the new lines) would be helpful. But I'm guessing, you did your placement mock up and installed it anyway.
So the cooler isn't directional so you can use either line. As long as one side feeds one side and the other goes to the other side. IE, you cut one hose and splice in the cooler.
Decent vid just cut out the rabbling. Do it in your videos and when you edit just cut that. Everything else is good, have some confidence!! Keep it informative on these types of videos. Show us the wiring path ways, top and bottom, maybe leave some recommendations for parts / tools used. With parts like these no one wants to fuck it up, so if you give them everything they need youll end up with hundreds / thousands of viewers and tons of likes! Keep up the good work, and thanks for the vid currently trying to install one onto my 08 350 hr model!
7AT 6AN, The 34 row MoCal cooler's smallest fitting option was 8AN so I got the following www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NCLEW2O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to allow the coolers to go to 6AN. I got the following kit which I still have leftover fittings for www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075V3NLM7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which you will see is 3/8 hose designed for the provided fittings.
@@xStaySkilledx Good luck, I recommend installing a temp gauge for it while you are installing the cooler so you don't have to install one later. Not sure about the g37 but the 370z ecu doesn't track trans temps.
Hi I wanted to get a new Trans oil cooler as well. But...... Is all the other coolers necessary ie..power steering cooler? Just wondering.....it looks cool
Kevin Falcon I’m using the common 6AN hoses. The oil cooler lines I have are from the smaller Stillen Oil cooler I upgraded to the 34 row cooler I have now. I also used same 6AN lines for the oil cooler I’m using for my transmission. Z1 makes top brackets to make mounting the cooler correctly much easier.
Hi all hope you are doing well. I just stumbled in to an issue. I dont know if you have faced the same you might share it with me. I have connected the transmission cooler as the following series: Oil enters the radiator heat exhanger and exits to the front mount oil cooler and then gets back from the front mount cooler to the transmission return pipe. The point is at idling the engine coolant temps keeps raising and the AC efficiency becomes so dull. Keep in mind that i have checked all the cooling system and the ac system and it is all running perfect so no issues with any of these systems. The only issue im thinking of is that the hot oil that is coming from the radiator heat exhanger and going to the front mount oil cooler is dumping alot of heat in front of the condenser and the radiator as the same heat is being recycled. Any idea about deleting the transmission radiator heat exchanger and sending the oil directly to the front mount oil cooler? Any issues with that?
Samer Jazzar please message me on Instagram and I can send you some pics/video of how my transmission cooler is connected. When you say oil temps, I’m guessing you mean transmission fluid temp? Did you add the extra transmission fluid?
Hi all. Thanks for your reply i will be following you up on Instagram as well. Latest update i have found out that my under tray is lose from the center clips which was letting hot air to be recycled from under the radiator support going to the front of the radiators while on idle and eventually getting heat soaked and triggers temps up. So i ordered Z1 aluminum under tray.
Thanks bro. Hey quick question, do you feel that sometimes your transmission would run hot before you installed it? I currently have a 10row cooler and im going to upgrade it to the 34, hopefully i get difference.
@@andywu8558 honestly, I went from factory when stock so no temp sensor to know to boosted with the 34 row cooler. I know the same cooler works extremely well for my oil but I haven’t yet ran the temp sensor to a gauge to monitor my trans temps yet. Soon though as show/car season comes to an end.
@@AGeekyGuy question, wouldnt the 34row cooler cool the transmission to the point that its not safe? I called z1 motorsports and they told me that oil that is too cold is also no good.
@@andywu8558 from everyone I’ve talked to, especially when boosted, heat is the biggest cause of clutch packs wearing. Yes, oil too cold can be bad as it doesn’t get hot enough to burn off any moisture/water that ends up in the oil. The transmission oil is NOT the same as your motors oil.
