mavericks will run the lineup of luka kyrie exum djj pj and in that way they will have 3 defenders to put on harden pg kawhi. zubac size wont be an issue because luka dominated him twice on switches already to the point where was unplayble
Dallas in 5. I’ve watched A LOT of Dallas and Clippers this season. Luka and PG are my favorite players. Dallas is going to put Zubac in every action… it’s going to be a lob fest for gaf and d Live, Luka shooting steps backs or Kia blowing by. Either way they’re breaking down the defense until the clips are forced to put him on the bench. Big slow centers are their bread and butter. I’d also like to point out that Dallas will not go small. Their bigs are athletic enough to close out on shooters. They’ll just absolutely destroy the clippers on the boards if they play a small lineup. The clips only hope is that PG and Harden play at a very high level offensively… and I just don’t see both doing that. If Leonard isn’t 100% this might be a sweep.

the only dude the clips really had to worry about in previous matchups was luka, now he’s got a team around him. when he had porzingis in those first 3 games in the bubble, it looked like the mavs had a really good chance, even more so with pg really struggling with shooting in half of those games
Luka’s biggest weakness is he plays 40+ minutes and is tired in the 4th and loses his legs for his jumper… But Kyrie is the closer on this team he’s top 10 in clutch scoring this season.
If winning was so important in DPOY then why didn't Tim Duncan ever win it? Literally one of the greatest defenders in the game 15 time defensive team awards constantly winning and being in the playoffs with nonstop 50 plus win seasons as a top seed winning 5 championships but yet he never won it. I truly don't get it how Luka is not MVP favorite this season. What the fuck this guy even have to do to win this. His stats are beyond believe and far better than SGA's and a little better than Jokič's. It should be between Joke and Don, others are miles behind. But the Don has historic season, full of records, 1st scorer and not by small margin, 2nd 3 point shooter 4.1 just behind Curry 4.8 per game and ofc. 34, 9, 10 - Joke already got 2 MVPs, Giannis 2 MVPs and Embid 1, Luka deserve to go to history too with season like this. This narrative that the Mavs have only played bad teams is wrong. Last 10 games Warriors are #3Defense/#7Offense/#2Net; Heat have been #2Defense/#11Offense/#5Net; Nuggets #5Defense/#6Offense/#3Net. During this 16-2 run, they beat Heat and Warriors twice. They also beat the Kings twice. All of these teams were playing desperate and hard cuz they needed the wins. They also beat a rockets team that was on a massive win streak and also desperate.

If we’re gonna keep it a buck, the Celtics should have won the NBA Finals 2 years ago (Dehls doesn’t know math when he said it was three years ago) when they were up 2-1 and up in Game 4. The problem with the Celtics is that they’re just like their fans in that they always assume they the best on the floor and then they get smacked in the mouth and they flinch and then they have to try hard and play catch up. That’s what happened last season. They don’t take things seriously and lock in all the way through. It happens EVERY year. Sorry guys. I really can't see how this small Clippers team gonna defend that Mavs big ball lineup that have been demolishing teams lately. Zubac won't stop it. None of the Clippers wings will be able to stop it. Mavs won't be forced to adjust to a Clippers small ball scenario as the former's big men play is just dominant. And with Luka and Kyrie, they don't really need the rest of their lineup to be small just to catch-up eventhough their own small ball lineup is good too. Also, main reason I'm picking the Mavs is the best player on the floor will almost always be Luka, and Clippers doesn't have the personnel to guard Kyrie (based on 50 plus Clippers games I've watched where they not good at guarding opposing guards). Mavs defense among top 3 too. Also the team leading the league in clutch offense, defense, and wins are also the Mavs. This will be a boring series, Mavs will sweep Clippers on this one, not even close at all. - Coming from a neutral fan.

You can't hide Luka in the series against the Clips, because they are probably going to just bring him up in the PNR. So, you are probably better off just putting Luka on PG or Kawhi and hope that Gafford can protect the paint if they blow by him. This way Luka will have to expend less energy constantly having to run up for the PNR.
