ScotRail "blue stripe" liveried 37409 "Loch Awe" heads through Wigan North Western on the morning of Wednesday 24th January 2024. The Class 37 locomotive was on a light engine run from Crewe to Carlisle having gone north two days earlier to conduct route learning duties over the Settle & Carlisle line. Compared to Monday's offering in the darkness we get an opportunity to see the locomotives new livery in daylight and like I said on Monday, it looks excellent :)
The train was running 71 minutes early here and was following a local unit so had been forced to wait further along the line but with the signals clearing the driver was able to give it a little bit of thrash as he passes through :)

0Z37 Carlisle High Wapping Sdgs to Crewe H.S.
