im planning on running this exact setup on an older dh bike and nice to see the speed this thing can hit. big upgrade from my current bike in every way
I'm currently building my 4th ebike & this time I'm doing a full suspension bike using a very rare frame I've managed to get. It's a BeOne Hornet Plus frame with Manitou front & rear suspension, 26" Mavic front wheel & a rear 26" 250w stealth hub motor, with a 35ah controller, also a Bafang BBSHD mid-drive, 52v 28.8ah battery & dual splitter for power supply enabling me to use which motor i want at the time 😊
I was going to buy an electric bike, but the dealer told me there is a six months waiting list, so I decide I can build my own in a couple of weeks. DIY
I just finished my first build on a Trek 4500 with Bafang bbso2 750w with the 48v-10ah max top speed 36 mph. Super fun I'm having a blast. I should have got the better battery like you have 52v 17ah.
Pls i hope when you put that chain the motor was off... i cut my 4 fingers superficially while putting the chain back on, the pedal sensor started going and my fingers got stuck there, miracle that it was just superficially
i do like my bbshd kon my downhill bike .next project will be fitting a mid drive to my hub driven full suspension bike and another battery .should have extreme torque and hit 45 mph with e 52v batterys at 28 amps to each controller
@EbikeAdventures Do you think one of those DIY Kits will work on a Juiced Bikes City Scrambler. And if so which out of the two kits would you prefer that I get. My only problem is that being from Philly I don’t know where a shop that’ll do the work for me. Most regular bike shops act scared to deal with it.
only BBSHD has 100m and 120mm options for fat bikes, just buy $40 bike bottom bracket remover tool set amazon and you're set, many videos online for tutorials - use my link for discounts :)
Ive have super 73. Whit befang 48v mid motor 1000w 100mm. And goes easy around 60 or change the setting to max speed 90 km/h. In eco mode 40 - 55 km/h. But. Is it worth to upgrade to an 52v 1000w mid motor?
Great video. I'm dense, where is your throttle? And how often where you using it? edit- lol i see it now, I like how you have it placed actually. seems safe that way.
@Ebike Adventures I meant on your paticular build...since you said your chainline was off . I just finished my first conversion and wanted to add the spacers to the drive side but couldn't for that reason. Now the spacers are in between the motor plate and frame so I worry it's more likely to spin since the spacer to frame is smooth surface to smooth Smooth. Unlike the intended motor plate to frame setup which has those ribs. I used a pipe wrench since the bafang tool is a joke lol
The sur-ron is now obsolete. There is more to life than throttle. If you ever decide to pedal it, lol, you will want 9 power levels to get resistance when pedaling. Using 5 levels I was ghost pedaling, not what I want. I have over 5000 miles on my HPC Bafang mid drive, it's pretty much bullet proof.
