When you are angling in your head bolts, get a paint pen, put your socket on, and put a mark on the socket down to the cylinder head. Angle that bolt, and then put another mark on the socket from the mark on the head when you started. No you have a 95 degree mark on your socket. Now for the rest of your bolts you put the socket on, put a mark on the head from the first mark on the socket and turn it till the second mark on the socket lines up with mark on the head. Then you only have to screw with the angle meter one time.
Really great videos. I have the same car, same engine, same year and I think I'll need to change the head gasket soon. I've had a slow oil leak for years that hasn't been problematic so I just let it go, but the oil accumulated on the motor mount and softened up the rubber. I just finished changing the motor mounts and I don't want them to spoil again. Where did you get all the torque specs and information? Thank you so much for this video series. **EDIT: I see on video 7 you have a link to the torque specs, but I noticed for tightening the head bolts you used another reference source, is that also from the website? Do you have any other suggestions, reference material, or research that you found useful prior to tackling this project? Maybe parts lists?
