Thank for the great review :) Nice frame choice by the way, it looks great on you. Also, we wanted to note that $39 is not just for the frame, it does include single-vision light and thin polycarbonate lenses. That actually is true for all our frames. Thanks again for the review!
Brotha help me out. I've been to two different eye care docs. I have astigmatism both a -4. It took me like 6 months to get used to my glasses. The issue I'm having is what you mentioned here. You were able to get them to do the specific bend so you can see right to left, up and down without distortion. I am having that problem terribly and they haven't brought up adjusting the actual lenses. They just now sold me a 1.67 (thinner ??) that is supposed to help with that supposedly but ultimately they said that distortion will always be there. Hearing you speak of this issue being resolved for you brought me hope. What can I do about not seeing so much distortion??? How can I explain them how to fix them? Please and thank you.
$39 frames is nothing special. I paid $9 for my frames at eyebuydirect and love them. They're the best frames I've ever had because they're ultra light, 9g & solid nose piece. I can't stand those swivel nose pieces because they have small area which over time agitates the skin on your nose.
I see you as a guru... Your videos have helped me.. and enabled to me to help my kids... and friends... BUT I AM sorry... I find this company insulting! They don't go above +8.00... My left eye is +8.25 and yes, I can tell the difference! Even when dropping it to +8.00, they still don't accept my prescription due to my astigmatism. Companies like this, that only milk the cheap and easy prescriptions should be boycotted! If they can't make tougher prescriptions - how is the quality going to be for the easier ones for average people (not done for professionals like you?)
Hi RedRisotto - we're so sorry to hear that we cannot accommodate your prescription. The Rx restriction was a hard decision made by our owners who are eye doctors. With a higher prescription and especially a higher CYL or astigmatism correction, we recommend going locally to ensure comfort and fit since your eyes are more sensitive to the Rx. It would be more responsible of us to direct you to a local eye care professional. We have a lot of faith in our lab and customer service and have been doing this for almost 20 years, but also know when a job is not right or appropriate for us. We've helped thousands of people over the years who couldn't afford the traditional method of getting eyewear, even with a basic Rx, and this has enabled us to help underprivileged children in the United States by working with charities to give free eye exams in schools and give needy children glasses free of charge. We believe we've done a lot of good for both children and adults. Again, we apologize that we can't accommodate your prescription, but even if we can't help you, we can still help plenty of others. Please don't boycott!
