Hellooooooooo friends! Another long video today (forgive me)...but hopefully a helpful one! Today we tackle the daunting task of setting up a fresh project in Unreal Engine 5.3.2! I go over Project Settings, Plugins, Console Variables, Content Browser folder hierarchy, Naming Conventions, Render Settings, Default Scene Setup and much more! I really didn't want it to be super long but it just ended up happening....I hope the editing is enjoyable enough for you to get through it. Anyways, thank you all for the support and I shall see you in the next one! ✌🏽🫶🏽

Hello friends! Just FYI I've linked a bunch of relevant information in the description to the people/docs/tutorials that I mentioned throughout the video. Also, just a mini disclaimer that these settings are not aimed at optimization or performance for large environments or real-time experiences - it's definitely tailored towards the end goal of rendering something out at the highest quality. With that being said, please let me know if there are some settings I should add or adjust, I'm keen to hear your thoughts! And lastly I hope you enjoyed the editing "style" of this tutorial - trying to add a bit more personality as it makes the editing process a lot more fun (although also much longer 😅) Thanks for all the support! ✌🏽

Such great content, thank you! We definitely need more Unreal for designers. I would pay for this start up template file.

Thank you for a great video! An alternative way to handle the default folder stuff at the beginning is creating a Blank Content Plugin. You can then create folders in there and it will also house all your created assets as you intended. This also makes the folder more portable but also very separated from the messy content folder. You can even transfer the "plugin" to other projects and use assets you made without having to use the migrate workflow; just copy paste the plugin folder in explorer/finder.

Yes! Love this suggestions, I've definitely worked on large scale projects where we stored all our locally created content in a single folder which was really useful when needing to move to a fresh project or test things out in another engine version.

Hey Ali, great tutorial!! Is anything different from the 5.4 version, or are the settings exactly the same? Congratulations on the channel ;)

I'd say my folder structure has changed a bit, but most of this is pretty much the same! Maybe I should make an updated video soon 👀
