I love when a client wants something way outside of the box! I won't make a pun here... It's not everyday I get to do something wild like this, and it sure makes the job much more enjoyable. Thanks for watching, and make sure to subscribe to catch the next new video.

A large V bit with exact angle could speed up milling with 5mm stepover in 2-3 operations :)

Yeah, this one would've needed a huge custom bit, which I did price out, but was too expensive to get for this one project. I kept trying it, like you're saying, but the overlap never worked out right. But my next project was similar, only much smaller squares, so I was able to use V a bit with like 150 degree angle I think. It did go way faster.

can you discuss how you setup the drawing for your tool path
@TGWoodworking
@TGWoodworking 3 года назад
I first did the drawing in SketchUp if that's what you mean? Then I imported it from SketchUp into my Vcarve software. Then ran a 3d carving path

Hermoso trabajo.

Did you use a ball nose bit for The pyramids? I have to do a door with this exact detail
@TGWoodworking
@TGWoodworking 2 года назад
Yeah but it took ages, absolutely way too long.. Now, I had someone make me some custom v bits to do it. But I can only do the one angle. It still takes awhile, and there's a ton of sanding involved afterwards, no matter how you do it

what cnc is used in this video?
@TGWoodworking
@TGWoodworking 3 года назад
Shark HD4. I've done more of these doors since, and had a custom v bit made to do it way faster. It still takes a lot of sanding afterwards though.

Cool but I wouldn’t have painted them black

That was the clients choice. Different strokes for different folks I suppose
