Super helpful video. I’ve just 1 question; I’ve drawn a logo and wanna cut out the big letters at a depth of 4mm. Just beneath the big letters is a company name written in really small letters and I want to cut that out with my 60 degrees V bit at a depth of 1mm. The problem is, once is add the 60 degrees bit, he’s going to finish everything with te v bit, also the rectangle and the big letters. The question is; how can I ‘freeze’ cut settings ?
Great question! The easiest way to do this is to use multiple workpieces (they are at the bottom). Have all your bit/cut settings what you want for the specific artwork, just have the one you want on the specific work piece.
Couple questions, I dont see the "Cut Style" setting on my Easel project. Also I'm not following the process of roughing and detailing. Do I assign the item to be carved as detail or roughing? I don't get how it knows what should be roughed and what should be detailed.
The roughing/detailing is just in the bit selection at the top. There currently isn't a way to assign a specific section for either, it just creates it automatically!
I use Patriot Nation Designs and I was wondering if you can combine something like a flag then add another design to it such as a flag then add on a firefighter etc. Thanks
Great question! You can't currently combine then both inside of one workpiece, but you could set them up on separate pieces and carve them individually.
Yep, since the length of each bit and how far it is inserted into the collet may change, you will always need to re-zero the Z axis. If you homed your machine from the beginning you could still use the same x and y-axis zero settings.
Yep! You would just need to be careful to not cut deep enough that you would run into the previous carve. Also it helps if you have a way to index the material to the work board so it stays in the same spot when it’s flipped
why does noone show how import STL images from the internet, You people only show how import it when you already have it downloaded and ready to import straight from your computer to EASEL
