In this tutorial, we'll model an eye in Maya, texture in Photoshop, and render in Arnold. If you would like to support my tutorials, you can do so on my Patreon. / acheparev
I know this is an old video, but a small correction! The sclera is actually the white part of the eye, while the clear part outside the eye is called the cornea :)
In the scene of erasing the back of the eye, I followed it for two hours, but the number of noodles was not right. 64/32 right? I doubt I got the order wrong somewhere. But I don't think there's a problem with working a little differently. Thank you for your tutorial!
@@AlexCheparev love your tutorials mate but if you can take things slow like you spend most of the video and not start speeding up, it would be appreciated.
He's going at a fine speed for this. If you find it too fast, then there's always the option on RU-vid videos to slow them down. He is actually very good in this tutorial. I've been to too many Maya tutorials on RU-vid, in which the guy spends like 5 minutes just picking names for stuff, or showing us overly basic stuff, like how to make and move a circle. The only thing I didn't understand is why he was adding the extra geometry at the back of the eyeball. It seemed unnecessary for a part that would not be visible in final renders. Also, I do wish more people would do tutorials for animal Irises, such as cat/lizard.
