I usually group them together. You can also combine/merge them if you like. It's just easier for me to select models when they are in groups, instead of merged,... but it's up to the artist's preference :)

I tried to reproduce it in my scene, but i have a problem with the transmission of my cornea : it won't appear transparent and it's look like shiny ball and i can't see the iris... do you have actived something on the parameter for not having this problem ? Nice job troubleshooting, Vasto! Yes, sometimes geometry requires to turn off the opaque. What Maya are you using? Maya 2020 seems to have resolved that, but not sure if that's the case for everyone. :)
Hi, lovely video, I have an issue though with the transmision ramp, as soon as I add the ramp, everypart of the area is transparent, even when I adjust the ramp i self, the white part of the eye is till slightly see through? Can you help?
