Hello... The subtraction part is not happening to mamy... I am not able to select the array elements individually. once selected the whole array gets selected during subtract. And finally shows no object subtracted... Please review.
Thank you for these great tutorials. In each tutorial that you produce, you cleverly introduce some new CAD function and/or technique to help the beginner gain a new experience and get a wider understanding of ACAD. I've never had any formal class training on ACAD, just learn off RU-vid, and I can say your channel is the best I've come across. I look forward to practicing on your next video installment(s).
Sir, saying that this your channel is useful would be an understatement. If i could really find another adjective that would go beyond the word useful right now, surely i would use it. So very grateful, keep up the good work. I'm just another university student and your knowledge of auto cad is benefiting me in so many ways.
***** I am really glad that this channel is helping you in your studies, You are always welcome to ask questions related to AutoCAD on this channel. Have a great day Umar :)
Great tutorial, many thanks for this! I followed along in Turbocad Mac which posed some challenges but ended up with an awesome tire! Really great I will subscribe to your channel!
@Somesh_Rupawate after making array of treads select the array type X on command line and press enter, this will explode the array into individual components and then perform subtract operation again
lol I CANT BELIEVE THAT IT WAS SO EASY i draning a café racer by now and i've been having trouble with the tires but with your tip i will be surelly ready to do all the work thanks :)
all the vedio from this channel is awesome.here the teacher's are teaching very bad , I understood by seeing these vedios that how to design . thanks a lot and don't stop uploading vedios .
it was the first time was using auto-cad, and thanks to you...i made a almost good looking tire.I think its not that bad for a first time user. i ll try and learn more from you. Thanks a lot
+choudhary jitender Pichkiya i have trouble in selecting, trimming and erasing, slowly i ll try to learn. Please upload more of videos related to automobiles. Thanks once again.
Great tutorial, well done mate! In the future, could you please do a tutorial on how we can make that 3D model to look like real product? Like the tire picture you showed us on the video at the beginning Much appreciated!!
Hi there great video, I m following this tutorial as we speak. I do however have an issue with removing the vortex at 1.38. When I remove it deforms the following vertex (It turns it into a straight angle) any Ideas as to what is happening here? Thanks
Im not able to subtract the threading on the tire. As you have shown that when you select those arrays of threads, it gets selected one by one as you drag the cursor. But in my case, all the arrays of threads get selected at once and when i press enter it doesnt get deleted. Please help.
I gave up trying to remove vertex on spline. As soon as I clicked feature, my arc just go misshapen and it was hard to try and manipulate it to desired shape.
Hi sir I have problem when using Subtract command.. When I select the tyre 1 object found.. When select all.. Only 5 object found compare to yours 49 object found.. And then after enter it said no object found
It actually helped me for my project, but 8:06 how you subtracted the treads from the tire, for mine when I try selecting the treads after selecting the tire, it selects the whole thing (along with tire) and won't subtract anything. Do you know how can I fix that?
I have another problem, after creating the threads, when I try to make the tire, it's coming like very big and when I add the thread layer, it's actually forming under the tire :| I tried like 4 -5 times but still the same. What am I doing wrong here?
@sourcecad I am facing problem after doing polar array. I made the threads, extruded them and did a polar array, but during solid substraction process shit happens, I selected the tyre pressed enter and then while selecting the threads the whole array gets selected , and finally the process fails, ... please help
Explode the array before subtracting, you must have made an associative array. To explode the array type X on command line then press enter and select array and press enter again.
i have a problem with subracting the array its not working but if i subtract single only its working also i notice when i select the array that i created it automatically select all unlike here in video it should be selected manualy
I have a question about Keyshot rendering, when I import a dwg to it all the curves and circles are converted to polygons and are not smooth, do you know how to fix that ? Thanks
sourceCAD, I also not able to subtract as you told in your tutorial ....but after reading on the comment section ...i succeeded by using the explode command . But sir my question is that ...why i have to use explode command on that ....why i cannot directly substract it ...please elaborate the basic concept of it sir
Prabhat Nigam actually your array is associative hence exploding it was required but if you dont want to explode it then uncheck associative option from array ribbon and you wont have to explode array.
+SourceCAD hi there I'm mally and I got a problem extruding and lofting complex shapes e.g star to circle when I try to region my shape it tells me 0 regions created but iv checked and there are no gaps and it is a closed poly line
+SourceCAD the tire was good and the jet engine please try a plane....f16 if possible im having problems with the scale wing to fuselage ratio and cockpit/glass !!
The shell button isn't working for me. When I try it, I click the button, select the object, then it says Remove faces [Undo Add All], I press enter, I type 0.5 into the next text area then it said "Could not offset surface as requested." Help?
properties of any object can be sen and modified by properties palette of AutoCAD, you can bring property palette by selecting object then right clicking on it and selecting property from contextual menu. If this was not your question let me know
For the subtraction tool, select the part you want to keep, in this case the tire center. After hitting enter, select the object(s) you want to remove, in this case all of those spokes. Finishing the tool subtracts the second wave of objects from the first object, so there will be holes and gaps where they overlapped.
have you made associative array? if yes then then you need to explode array before making subtraction. select all objects in circular array then type X on command line and press enter this will make array non-associative, Now try subtraction again.
This is a strange issue, I suggest you you to perform AUDIT and PURGE command and if problem still persists then make array again or create this drawing in a fresh template.
