Wanted to start adding some upgrades to the Monport CO2. Started with removing the exhaust vent to add some usable work area. Then moved on to the 3D printed air assist and drag chain. The cuts are much cleaner now.

I'm a little late to the show but I was watching another YT'er (can't remember who) but he calculated the surface area of the rear duct fan and the amount of inefficiency caused by the small opening the fan was trying to draw air through. I think he said the dimension of the slot was 5 x .75 with a vast majority of the fan covered. He cut the entire wall out so you can clearly see all of the fan from the inside and dramatically increased the flow of that duct fan. Another YT'er used a centrifugal blower midway of the duct to an outside port and the fan would pull positive pressure like a hardcore vacuum to extract fumes. He warned again axial fans. I have an axial fan and it works ok but not great. Just some thoughts for you guys.

Where do you get your wood? I have tried multiple vendors on amazon and they all arrive warped beyond belief.

If your laser will cut 5m you can find that at box stores. Most I have gotten is also warped. I like to sit it in the sun with weights on it to try and straighten it

@KLRform nice I never thought about that. I usually put it all on a shelf and stack heavy books on top of it. I have the updated monport k40 so 5mm shouldn't be a issue.

@@Vash612584 check out the cabinet backing or mdf core wood at many of the big box stores. You can also spray down the wood a bit with water then add the weights to help counter the warp
