@@SillybuttsI've really been hoping to see HPA make a comeback to Nerf ever since I saw Bradley Phillip's video on the M79. Can't wait to see the final design of the HPA blaster!
Im more than excited for this!!! I just got into nerf 3d about a year ago and have been all over the idea of hpa but it seems to have died out. So glad someone is finally bring this back up. Btw love your other gun files have printed almost all of them.
Before I release any aspect of this HPA tank, I need to be VERY confidently sure that its safe and durable. So not yet, but probably within the next 6 or 7 months.
Okay I LOVE those little giggles when you fired darts from it and you tipped over the camera, really living up to the Silly part of your name! Shows that real satisfaction in modding and custom blasters, as well as that childlike wonder for comically overpowered Nerf. Wonder if you could build a full-auto bottle blaster with this thing? Like an airsoft gas blowback? I don't know where this is going, but I have faith it's going good places!
:) I am planning to do a semi auto and a full auto setup using this tank connected to a pneumatic piston that moves the breech back and forth. Now that this basic HPA core is pretty solid and good, I can add that extra feature.
Great work, excited to see you incorporate it into a blaster! :) Safety should be paramount with things like this though, we need to *stress* using quality tubing & parts as these have potential to be dangerous. As these are used in the field, scoring or damaging a tube of the wrong material can severely inhibit it's ability to hold pressure without failure.
I feel like an absolute idiot for asking this, but what is the use of this? Like what’s it for, also love the silly shells and hopefully you release the files for the mag shotgun soon!!!
this is a propulsion mechanism. it gets air out of the hole, quickly. you can put a barrel in front and shoot any ammo, hard. or a lot of ammo. sillyshells, mega xl, this is basically just replacing your standard plunger and spring.
Not an idiot, just not informed yet! Nothing to be ashamed of. In short, this is a compressed air holder that can dump that air out the end, really fast. It allows you to have an air propelled blaster, like a springer, without needing to prime any springs between each shot. You just pull the trigger each time you want to fire. This is probably more powerful than a talon claw type springer setup. Its hard to really compare them without having a barrel and breech mechanism for this HPA core yet.
A few people have tried it, but it doesn’t work well. Darts are a lot heavier and larger than airsoft BBs, or even paintballs. They need a lot more air.
