Just wanted to quickly say thank you! Your video explaining the mechanism behind the rubber band gun really helped me out. I recently made a video where I designed my own version, and your explanation made it really easy for me to grasp the concept and adapt it to my design. Of course, I made sure to mention in my video that I got the idea for the trigger mechanism from you and included a link to your video. Your content was a huge help for me as a newcomer in this field. Keep up the great work, and thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
Assembly instructions from 1:50 Magazine part needs support. Spring part wall count is 4. Parts secured with filament, not bolts! Thanks for the video and the stl, fantastic!
It's wonderful to hear that you liked the models, especially the Disk Shooter! Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Hi. Amazing design. I find that my rubber bands are not releasing on the trigger pull….but releasing on the trigger release. Anything I can do to fix this?
Thank you for the compliment on the design. The release behavior your are describing is expected. Instead of really pulling through the trigger, I usually just tab it until it snaps.
Oh god, if you make the stop magazine mechnism activatable, we will be able to make a sick like charged shot, also is there a way you could make the gun hold more rubber bands?
I am trying to make this and everything is working great. Except that I can't print the frame without out supports and when I do print with supports the entire frame is filled in making it impossible to carve out.
Use a slicer that allows you to paint support areas (like Prusa or Orca Slicer) or use support blockers to make a space where no supports will be printed (like Cura)
Quick question. On the spring, in the description from thingiverse it says to do 6 wall and the video is say 4, which is best and what is difference? I'm still learning all this, hell I'm not even sure my printer is leveled out correctly. And I've been having weird issues, but still would like to try this
Hier wird ein offener Frame gezeigt, bei Thingiverse ist das ein mehr geschlossener Frame. Wo finde ich den bitte ? Würde ihn gerne mit meinem Enkel zusammen bauen....
Yes, you can have the file for the non-stop trigger. I've uploaded it to Printables and MakerWorld as you requested. You can now download it from there.
