I couldn’t help myslef when i saw this guy I already have the real Roubute built bit I wanted to paint this dude instead. I didnt have the time to put into a much more expensive model so i speed painted this one for a video this week.

Really loving this warhammer kick, I know even less about it than you my dude, but I love learning things like volumetric highlighting. I really need to get me some of that panel liner, normallybi don't rate tamiya paints but that looked awesome. I would have been happy with it being white and lined lol.

That panel liner is great. I do find the oil wash mix with oil and spirit gives a darker feel though and technically is cheaper in the long run but does mean you have to mix when you want to use it.

Um technically yes. Just do a slap chop style but also you’ll need to thin the contrast you out over the top because it’ll be too saturated out the pot

Id love to see your take on some world eaters chapter in 40k. With the new Berzerkers models coming out im trying to figure out how to do the reds in that same high contrast!

Beautiful Redbutt. I'm still amazed by your two blue approach to the armor. You get so beautiful deep blue that looks sort of candy with the layers. I think this sculpt is the best Girlyman I've seen. Some of the intricacies look like he's ment for 30K / Horus Heresy. Who cares. To me that sculpt and your paint makes it look better than anything official.

To be honest I have no idea what I was doing. I just did a rough undercoat with the white. Then layered the flesh tearers red over top and used some darker skin tones to highlight bits.

I found your channel 2 weeks ago, and man, those High contrast space marines looks absolutely gorgeous. I kind wanto to try as well on some of my minis, but I don't have a Airbrush, is it possible to do this kind of High Contrast Paint with only regular Brushes ?

Talasar blue is very very tricky to get right without an airbrush but it can be done if you go slow and get a perfectly thin coat. Too fast and it becomes alpha legion, too slow and they become mike Sullivan from monsters inc…

very nice looking Robert Gurlyman! I really want a 3d printer for things like that, cheap totally not warhammer miniatures. And the Ultramarines home planet, Macragge, is very much inspired by antique Greece and Rome, Game Workshop made no effort in hiding that at all, which is why the Ultramarines have wreaths and many other Roman inspired things, they even have their own version of power swords that they call Gladius... yes, that is latin for sword and also what the Romans called their swords. One thing, if I may critique a bit, your miniatures look really cool but also very clean. It just confuses me a bit, such clean robot men on that martian soil.

Absolutely incredible work. It's brilliant just watching you work. Amazing! If I wanted to print models at 1/16 scale or 1/10 scale what printer would you recommend? Would i also need a cure station and othe exercise or is a printer enough?

One of the smaller ones would usually be big enough and you’d need a way to cure. A cheap nail curing station works

hello, i have a question. what is the difference using the oil wash before its painted blue vs after its painted blue, is there any differences?

The blue tints the black so that it’s dark blue not black. On top of the blue its Black under the blue it’s dark blue.

The entire "I can't tell you how to get this model" crap that has been happening is ridiculous. GW has no ground to stand on legally. If someone modelled this, it's a unique creation. If it looks similar to theirs, they'd have to prove in court that it is a direct copy. But GW hasn't went to court over this because it would bankrupt them to go after all the creators out there, they'd have a hard time legally proving it, and it would do nothing to help their business. Their cease and desist letters are toothless.

Dude it’s so easy to find I literally told you how to find it in the video but adding a link just gives them ammo. And on top of it it’s literally one of 3 models when you type in the name on cults. Besides I don’t want to be the reason that another artist loses money because I gave gw the link to go attack. It’s not me who made the rules I’m just making videos and if dudes can’t even do a 3 second search in a search bar that would take a couple extra clicks over a link then are they even interested at all? I made it super obvious where to find it.
