This very video made me see that she's actually a very talented actress in addition to everything else: I think that can be one of the most disarming and effective skills for a comedian but only like three people in a decade can do them in combination without being "really" one or the other and dabbling in the remainder. It's like the further her acting is from being comedic, the more it amps up the humor: I've come to believe it's the dissonance between what's funny and the hyper-real super serious reaction that is what generates this strange extra feeling beyond the humor. Like, the only thing in any way reasonable about this is the two central performers' emotional state while having this discussion: it turns a cartoon into an art film (a good one). It's really great. Barely over two minutes and it feels like twenty seconds.
so basically the printer makes people rather than small trinkets made of plastic like most 3d printers. The librarion, however, doesn't understand this which is why she's freaked out. That's where the humor comes from.
