+soundspark I can suggest that to them. We work really lot with Vertex and the G4 has really lot things that you don't need on 3d-printer usage so making light version for consumer use might be good idea.
Dude if you decide to buy another car to destroy, try to start the engine at -10 Celsius and then start going fast and rev it and see if something would break.
Hey guys, I really love what you're doing, overall you really seam to have fun and you bring us with you in these funny moments. No ads, no clickbait, much appreciated. You're great, much love!!!
You should do a series of a red hot cannonball vs different items such as; liquid nitrogen, wood plank, gallon of gasoline, and water just for a few examples.
You should try making Anni's bonus content with the 3D printer! :) I'm not sure if it would work with plasticine but maybe with the special plastic? Hello to you both and the cats!
you can print also rubbery material with these printers so maybe using that would make good result. I am planing to do video about 3d-sculpting software that uses VIVE virtual reality glasses and then print those sculptures out with 3d-printer to be crushed :D
Beyond the press Just curious, did you have any extra schooling or know your IQ? The amount of knowledge you have with so many different things is amazing! It would be really cool if you built a dangerous animal to be crushed! Hope you and Anni have a great week!
Do you have a print cooling fan? Helps print small details like that and overhangs a lot. If not get a 5015 blower fan from aliexpress and 3d print a mount and nozzle, might want to insulate your hotend though since blowing air on it really fast can cool it too much, e3d got their "sock" add-on, a silicone wrapper, can just wrap the hotend in kapton tape as a cheaper solution. In some slicers like slic3r you can set a minimum time per layer to help as well, makes prints like that take longer but not fail.
I would love to see a mirror filmed with a thermal camera. Do mirrors also reflect Infrared Radiation? What about normal glass? Can IR pass through that, or does glass act like a mirror for IR?
Most things that let normal light trough like windows and our blastshield are like mirrors for infrared. But some things like black plastic backs are transparent for it. I think I should make video about that also.
I uploaded this also there but from now on these are going to be on this channel. These videos are bit different that I first planned and they turned out so close to other stuff on this channel that there is no point to run 3 different channels. RU-vid tends to reward you for uploading more content and by using only 2 channels I think these videos reach much more people than with that separate thermal guys channel.
I uploaded this to there just for an platform to inform people that have subbed that channel but not this about switching this content here. Uploading same video to two channel would split the views and lower both videos on youtube's hierarchy about what to suggest to people.
oragamihawk I'm guessing this was meant for some other project so because he would have printed the part anyway, filming it with Flir wasn't that much extra work. And making videos for RU-vid is his job right now. 😀
+Eemeli actually I did this part just for this video. But drawing and printing parts is really easy and fast to do so it wasn't that big deal. I used much more time on editing than preparing the print or even filming the thing.
Thats a good idea, I think even drifting trough corner would make great footage. I am probably getting also FLIR flagship camera here in future that can film thermal slow motion video that would make this idea even better.
It depends on the file format. The printer software uses .stl files but with that Vertex G4 I can convert many other files to .stl so probably I would be able to print things that you have made with 3dmax.
Lauri I have to say, this video was pretty boring. That being said, I watched the whole thing without skipping ahead lol. I watch all your stuff it's usually interesting and fun to me. Keep up the good stuff!
I just uploaded it so there might be some problems on youtube while it's rendering it or doing something like that. Those problems are gone with in couple minutes
