I always wanted something like this to be able to scan the rear quarter and front fenders of my car to get a model to build off of and design wide body fender flares that would fit the contour of the car. Then you could print them and use them to take a mold off of and build custom widebody parts from carbon fiber or fiberglass

Also my phone broke so im using an older phone with a broken screen and I cant get onto my instagram without some code from an authenticator which I don't have and cant set up without being logged into instagram

you can spray your trophy with foot powder, thats what we use in scanning packaging which is shiny and clear and it works and can be washed away after.
Hey man, know this isnt related to this video but its the only way to reach out to you, Im going to be using your tutorials to paint my sun-damaged black accord the same red you painted your honda a while back. My question is do you recommend using the 2X you used on your honda or using the anti-rust protective enamel that you used for this car?
Also, from your experience, is there any noticeable change between priming the car and not priming the car? I want to prime it to be on the safe side, but it'll cost me $50 extra if I do. Sorry for the question spam, just want to get it done right!
@@dappersquid27honestly the priming seems to make a difference only if it’s properly sanded smooth and if the car is different colors. A “pro” would say primer over pre existing paint is a must but in my experience it’s not always a must. As long as the prior paint is in decent condition (sandable) condition meaning when you sand it the paint comes out smooth to the feel then you won’t need a primer. The protective enamel stuff is without a doubt better than the 2X stuff but it all comes down to color choice because sometimes they don’t have it in the advance formula or protective enamel how ever you call it. The 2X dries faster which causes stripes easier and it wrinkles up when you apply a 2-3 coat and that’s why I usually do 1 thick coat. My ep3 is still going strong 6+ months later
if you bring the camera closer the object gets bigger, I'm waiting for my ferret now but I would try it just to eliminate whether it works or not. again foot powder might make that scan come out better
I wana try to learn n do this so i can make some parts n stuff like wide body for my sedan. You may be able to load the files into fusion 360 to blend them together. Im still trying to learn it myself for cnc stuff. U can also find a 3d model of your car on thingiverse
