This is a retextured and enhanced port of the tour model of Bowser Castle, with some meshes remade from scratch, like the cylinder and the marble. Gamebanana custom track page: gamebanana.com/mods/464510 Enjoy
@@chinkram Yeah. And the base game is not even near realistic *AT ALL.* The base game has a semi-realistic/pseudo-realistic artstyle and the custom track being showed here looks like a base game track, even though it's got those rock normals from Riverside Park
@@callmerei It really doesn't retain the BCP artstyle. It may look like that it was made with the BCP from VERY FAR AWAY due to the shading and quality of the pipes and that rock normal from Riverside Park on the cliffs, but it definitely doesn't look like it was made for the BCP, (unless if Wave 6 looks like it's in line with base 8/8DX on ALL FRONTS which I really hope it does) and if it would have retained the BCP artstyle, then it would look much more cartoonish, it would look VERY different than what it looks like in this video, and there would be vertex colors, asphalt ao/nrm/spm maps, and a moss specular map onto it which that track DEFINITELY DOES NOT have. EVERY SINGLE PART of that track has base 8/8DX textures except for the cliffs which have that rock normal from Riverside Park. Base 8/8DX does not look hyper realistic AT ALL, but semi-realistic/pseudo-realistic, and it does not look as realistic as the Super Mario Bros. movie, so, that 3DS Bowser's Castle custom track looks like a base 8/8DX track (besides for the cliffs which have that rock normal map from Riverside Park (Third time I've said that)). Just look at Wii U Bowser's Castle then go back and look at this custom track just to find out. And by the way, the amount of details in Waves 3-6 are definitely not even near as much as in this custom track
@joceandbri06 It actually ALMOST looks like a base game track, because of the cliffs which have Riverside Park's rock normal maps. The BCP doesn't have AS MUCH detail as this custom track right here
Exactly!! Not only that, but if they make the models from Tour less blocky, and if they get the lighting, shadow maps, color correction, and whatever right
Oh my god this track is incredible looking! Both in looks and gameplay! I have said this before but I’m going to say this again, I wished this track was in wave 3 instead of rock rock mountain, we could have finally got some more bowser castle representation with that in mind! You did a serious good job with this track! ^^
When I saw this I was like “huh” And during the whole thing I was just amazed. This is the best custom track in this game! The lighting is great, the textures blend well, the new assets are sick! I love it! Keep it up!
Wow!! This is how to make a good Port from Tour at mk8, you improved the textures and the lighting looks amazing!! You did a much better job than some official tracks from the DLC
Nah it looks close to a base 8/8DX track (But worse because the cliffs in that track have Riverside Park's rock normal maps onto them, and the pipes and the red metal things don't have as much ambient occlusion into them, making them look more flatly textured than the objects in the game) so yeah, it looks close to a base 8/8DX track like I said before, (but worse) AND it beats the entire BCP DLC by miles
The R.O.B. looks so damn authentic! This track is also on par with the base game, shame it won't be in the BCP since Nintendo hates Bowser Castles in it (other than SNES BC3 coming in Wave 6)
It's oustanding! The only thing I could see as a minor improvements are the stairs and the gliding initial jump that is a bit lower than I expected Is this compatible with Switch Hardware? I read some mod are only avaiable for emulator. I'm really looking forward to other Tour Remakes, like the remaining Wii and DS tracks
I may have also edit mines to go 5 laps cause I know how to change laps but sometimes I can get a crash or sometimes I don’t but i didn’t with this CT!
I know I mentioned this in another video, but it seriously sucks that they decided to put Toad Circuit instead of this. Would have been a great pick for the BCP alongside Rock Rock Mountain and Rainbow Road, AND it would have already solved the starvation for a retro Bowser Castle before the (supposedly on the way) arrival of SNES BC3. Come on, Nintendo..... -_-
Tour tracks came become EXACTLY like the base game if they put a way lot more effort into them, and a WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY lot more effort compared to what they did with the tracks that are in the Booster Course Pass DLC
