3DS FINALIZING SETUP - UPDATED GUIDE WITH NEW METHOD 

I am crying I kind of thought I messed up my 3DS when I got excited and reformatted my sd card for something else and didn't make a back up. I was looking for a few days and couldn't find many answers, I was confused by the advise since this is my first time modding it and I came across this video. I am genuinely so grateful to you thank you so very much for helping me restore my console. My sd card had some very odd corruption. After installing the latest luma patch it worked but none of the apps really did anything. Cia for example didnt load, homebrew worked but none of the apps did. I could access the gm9 menu and everything else but didnt know what to do. Following this guide to just get the finalize to work was all i needed. Thank you!!

I just followed this video. I started modding my 3ds xl and memory card went bad during the install and battery died charger got knocked out of the wall and didn’t realize it.when I pressed the power button it would flash a blue light a couple of times and then turned off. This video saved my 3 ds xl. It now works. Thank you.

There’s the new finalize setup that is new this year. I hope sthetix makes a new one.

Thanks for the help! I had to factory reset my already hacked 3DS to fix a glitch that would happen whenever I play a 3DS Pokémon game and checked on the pc, it would cause the game to crash. I thought factory resetting the system would totally remove any type of homebrew that was on my system, but it didn't. This tutorial helps me restore all of my homebrew that was on my SD card without hacking my 3DS again.

Had an issue where I couldn't update the console, but it worked on the third attempt. Just goes to show that the old addage about trying the same thing over and over doesn't apply to electronics

bro, my O3DS is playing the game Pokemon Sun & Moon and Monster Hunter XX, but the screen is black while the other games can be started. This is problematic in games with a size of 2GB+

What if my sd card is empty but my system still boots into the 1:00 luma screen? Should I still follow this guide? 3:58 My sd card doesn't have any of the luma stuff there. Only the nintendo 3ds folder.

Hi i got a problem where the app in the home disappeared, like fbi, anemone, ecc. I think it happened for an error occurred on the pksm rom hack where it got a problem and deleted all the app. Can you give me any advice?

That 2DS XL has been modded so many times and he finally reinstalled CFW again I think.

Hello thanks for all the guides and help! I just ran into a problem... recently I had to data memory reset my 3ds and start it again from 0 to create a new ID Network. I have followed another guides of how to download games to homebrew and from there download it with FBI but now when I checked my files from the SD Card (Pokemon Sun, Ultra Moon, and other versions) I do have the folders but they have 0 GB data meaning they are now empty folders... is there a way to fix this? I still have the saved data though and the information inside the GodMode I can check it all there but it still seems to be empty when comes to the game folders. The backups are still there though.

If i do not see FBI in the rosaline loader menu whatever it is called, what do i do? i copy the files to the SD card exactly like you do..?

Question for OP or anyone who can help: I'm considering buying a new 3ds xl sight unseen but I know it is bricked. I don't have a heap of experience modding but i do have a little. I'm pretty sure it was bricked in the last few months so probably after the last update. Is it worth it for me to take the chance trying to unbrick? Hello, I have a question, can you help me please? I have hacked o3ds xl and device stays on black screen when opening some games. I learned that the problem was in cfw. So I had to install clean cfw on the device. But I don't know what to do. Do I need to ofw the device first, or is there a different way to refresh the cfw? Hi! I've been trying to CTRTransfer my japanese new 3ds ll to change the UI language to English. However, I can't get the "CTRNand Options..." option to show up in the godmode9 menu when I select the 11.50.0-47u_ctrtransfer.n3ds.bin file. Do you think you can help me? Thanks in advance!

When I click scripts and click Finalize, it works for the first A press, but after I press A again, it says 0:/gm9/scripts/finalize.gm9 line 91: makedir fail mkdir A:/dbs
