Roberto Duran was 72-1 going into the brawl in Montreal in June 1980 against Sugar Ray Leonard and he wasn't even 30 yet, probably my favorite fight of ALL time. Those guys were warriors back then

I think that boxing took a page out of Hollywood-- to create drama to sell fights. Have you noticed how boxers talk trash to each other and push and swing during the face-offs? That stuff did not happen before. So there's more drama in boxing than there are actual fights. That's why Shakur, Tank and Haney haven't fought one another and they're barely fighting once a year. Take a drama class and get into boxing, you'll make millions!

Biggest thing boxing I'd doing wrong is they show 3 boring fights before the main event and then promote the main even for 45 min before the fight and its now 11pm. I fell asleep already.

Yes, look at tank 28 never fought a top 3 135 pounder haney, loma, shakur but Tank has bias fans that push him up for doing so little and knockdown guys for doing more via maybe a loma, canelo, fury, bud

Everyone who criticizes bivol doesn’t bring up that the sanctioning bodies were blocking his fight from happening cause he was Russian after the war started. Even arum said he wouldn’t make a fight with him on this show

It’s funny hearing you guys always talk greatly about ufc and then in the next sentence talk about fighters not being under the same promoter to not surpress wages. Dana does exactly that and why ufc is profitable. The best ufc cards are the same 5 guys fighting each other. I personally think boxing is in a good place and the politics is what makes twitter fun

The favors do boxing a real disservice. If they want boxing to be respected and viewed by the casual audience again they should be doing everything they can to elevate the best American fighters that have legitimately earned their titles instead of emailing titles around. Terence Crawford should be on a Wheaties box and titles should be won in the ring.

Mma level though is nowhere near boxing in terms of skill. You can train for a few years and go on to win thd ufc belt. Show me a boxer that has done that? You can fight 3 times a year or even more in that sport. Its not apples and oranges guys.

Because let's face it not only do they have very Similar styles but he could have helped catapult his career." Just like he did Tanks IJS I mean that's this the TRUTH of the matter." Again Haney had his Pop's but Bill Haney is a Different Breed and he got it Poppin by Marketing his son everywhere." And well unfortunately for Shakur he hasn't had that major Push." I mean yeah he is signed to Top Rank but they aren't really known for pushing the African American Fighters if I'm being completely honest and non bias." On top of that he does have Latino in him but they didn't even really showcase that side of him either." So unfortunately marketing & promotions play a significant Role"!!!
