As technicians it's important to return to car to not only pre-accident safety, but appearance as well.
Many OEM's have evolved in the use of seam sealer applications that are difficult to replicate in the repair and or replacement process of a part.
In this video, Shawn Collins 3M Technical Service Engineer is back to discuss how to match OEM seam sealer when replacing a door skin.

Can that product be used over bare metal? Or should it be over an etch primer or surfacer?

+RedMistr1 Sorry I just saw your comment. Apply over metal primed with a 2K primer. No seam sealer should ever be applied over etch primer.

I don't understand a product video that's been planned, shot with a good camera and all this has terrible audio. It's called a lavaliere mic. Use one and it won't sound like the guy's telling you about the products from the bottom of a cave. Sound guy, out!

Thanks Jason for the feedback and we agree, if you'll notice Shawn was wearing a lav, but the sound did not take so the back-up camera audio was used. We made the decision to put out the content for its value. Would be nice if we could have a sound engineer on shoots.

3MAutoBodyRepair I thought I saw something on his shirt. I'm glad you guys put out the video anyway. The content is top notch, like 3M products. I don't know what part of the country you're in, but I'd help you guys out with sound any time.
