Great review what I love about them is the cleaning side you save a lot of time I will look in to this 3M spray gun one day at the moment I am not in a body shop where I am spraying cars in and out but defenetly look in to purchasing one near the future thank you kandy man and stay safe
Damn I thought I was the only one crazy enough to take those brand new stands into the booth and over spray them! It still breaks my friend heart seeing them get beat up knowing how much they cost, I also really really love the bumper thing, and hood thing, all the stands I use roll to keep the productivity turned all the way up🤙
I have a restoration and custom shop and was looking at a DV1 3 gun kit that runs $1,800 what is your opinion of buying a couple of the 3m over the DV1? Thanks
Just got my new one yesterday. After not having one for a few months I missed a lot about it. 1-how light it is 2-easy clean up 3-I can do multiple jobs at one time, especially when I have 5 bumper jobs and one in the other booth 4-much cheaper then spending a few grand on multiple guns (that’s being thrifty😬) 5-price of the gun and the rebuild kit is comparable to other top brands. 6-I’ve notice I get less nibs in paint I know a lot of guys try to say how expensive it would be to buy the replaceable heads, but you can get a lot of uses out of them, clean them like you would a reg gun. Nice review, & i didn’t know you can spray them at low of a psi and get good results. How did set up, instructions or go wide open?
Could you describe how you store your used tips for future use with similar colors(I am assuming that you don't clean the tip before storage)?Do you just leave them plugged onto the pps cup? That would leave the needle hole open for paint to dry in there,I could see that causing problems if the cup and tip sit for a long length of time.A guy could just have a couple of spare needles to poke in the tip during storage. Thanks for your sacrifice of time and energy in doing these videos.
I have 4 3m guns I leave paint in them purge new color and roll they are setup for each color one black one white one red one silver. I use them all day long so they don't sit and dry up hope this helps
Nice guns,I'm always looking for bargains on Ebay, got my tekna 5 yrs ago from eBay,and after 5 yrs still works perfect, but yeah that cleaning gets to you after awhile.🥳🥳🥳🥳
Hey @Kandy Man what do you think about these guns for DIY in the home garage? I'm going to get better air eventually but right now have the Harbor Freight 21 Gallon 4 cfm compressor. Saw another review where the RU-vid'r said these guns are pretty air hungry. My vision for this gun would be to use it for everything until I can get a DV1 clear coat gun..
What about all around would u recommend it? I had iwata but due to family passing away and moving so much they’re now missing conveniently but looking for a decent gun until I get back to my iwata’s with supernova again…
nice work i spray the same paint you do water base will ruin a expensive gun so hard to clean and water base gun washers smell like a sewer how many cars can you spray on these heads
Yes kandy man they are great guns I have two of them use them all the time kandy man you got to spray clear Through them they will not Disappoint you I guarantee it !!!!
@@kandyman5315 oh I do to my Dv1 is my everyday gun I didn’t know if you had tried them for clear yet hey what’s your honesty opinion on the Dv1c2aircap do you think that it lays down a better coat of clear then the dv1 c1 cap
