Task Force History presents "3rd Infantry Division in Korea 1953 - 1954". These unpublished historical photographs were taken by / belonged to Pfc Harold L Hanks of California. These photos are a chronicle of his military service starting from 1953-1954.
Harold L Hanks went through basic training with the 6th Infantry Division at Ford Ord, California in 1953. In summer of 1953, after completing basic training, he was deployed overseas to Japan and then on to Korea shortly after. There he served with the 3rd Signal Company, 3rd Infantry Division until 1954.
Some of the themes and people in this video include basic training with the 6th ID at Fort Ord California, 3rd Signal Company 3rd ID camp in Korea, 45th ID soldiers, 10th Corps tank training facility Dodge Range near Chuncheon (춘천), local Koreans, recreation and soldiers Hugh D McCoy, Gilbert Van Wyk, "Slugger" Edwards, George Faudree, Ralph Lindenbaulm, Pete Galvano, Max Wulfekammer (Missouri), Mess Sgt Ogden (Oklahoma), Bob Towe (Iowa), Jack Grizzel (Tennessee), W.
