One thing Home Free has always been known for, is their tight knit harmonies. Their co-founder, Chris Rupp, left the group a few years ago, in order to pursue a solo career, and Adam Chance filled his spot, their sound is even more full & much richer. Thanks, for another great reaction.
Except in this rendition, the harmonies are clearly off and even worse in the practice sessions. I cringed a little even during the real performance. I can hear even slightly off pitch and I suspect so can many other people.
They have good harmonies, good arrangements, and are versatile. The bass can sing tenor, the new baritone Chance can also sing bass, and the beatboxer can sing tenor also. Please check out Home Free's cover of "Blue Ain't Your Color". Glad you came back to reacting.
You're exactly right, they were good before, but afterwards they killed it. You actually see the growth with the group throughout the competition. Just keep that in mind. Don't forget to get their battle with Filharmonic. It's really good.
I love seeing these reactions. Home Free has to be one of the best acapella bands and Tim Foust was definitely not born on this planet. Than man is not human...
The 4th and 5th performances are really great too. The 4th is Pretty Woman (which has a really cool moment from Adam if you watch closely) and the 5th performance I Want Crazy is just phenomenal.
Welcome back! This was where you just knew they had it all and you were going to be a fan no matter what happened! Tim has an amazing range. A0 - A5 and still growing. The group as a whole is just unbelievable and some of their newer songs just unforgettable. A few of their more recent songs are Good Ol' Boy Good Time, a mashup of Dierks Bentley/Keith Urban - Woman, Amen / Female (Home Free Cover), Man of Constant Sorrow (Home Free Cover), and Niall Horan - Finally Free (Home Free Cover) published on Oct 19, 2018. This just barely scratches the surface. There are just SO many! I think I'll go listen to Man of Constant Sorrow again. See you next time. Thanks! ^_^
So glad you are reacting to Home Free again. They are so good at what they do and they are genuinely nice, fun people. You are also good at what you do. Your reactions are nicely detailed. I look forward to hearing your take on more of their music. Welcome back.
hey Meghan great to see you again ,as beautiful as always darling. Thanks so much for reacting to this one,i personally love the host's comment at the end of their performance. I know you'll love the rest of them, there's less of them than previous seasons of the sing off. May i suggest once your done with them start with the older one's first, before you start with the newer one's. That way you can really hear the differences in their sound throughout the years. Thanks so much dear I'm really looking forward to it. God bless and hope you have a great day.
Welcome back!! I'm glad you are continuing on with the Sing Off 1st. If you go to their YT page, you can pull up all of their video uploads and if you start at the bottom and work your way up, you'll be able to see just how much they have grown and broadened their sound over the years since this... Tim actually has a 5+ octave range.
Some standard basses can only hit an F2.. most basses can sing E2.. less for choral/SATB music.. The majority of men can't even sing F2, and he hit F1, which is an octave lower than most men can sing. He did use a special technique to do so (it wasn't chest voice), but still.. 4 and a half notes lower than standard bass range? God no. Standard bass ranges aren't that low.
C urricius voiceplay and home free did a video together ,, survivor ,they were going to do it on sing off , it’s a fun video ,... think they sing together quite a lot
Austin the high tenor, is actually classically trained, his voice is pretty impressive !!! Want a good one with him lead???? Try “Thinking Out Loud “....it’s a really great one !!!
Home Free is amazing! Great harmonies, and they can all carry a solo. You might want to check out a post-Sing-Off version of "Ring of Fire" they did with Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix as a guest artist. As you might imagine, having both Tim and Avi rocking the low end, there will be widespread reports of seismic events! :) Welcome back.
Finally someone comments on the little rattlesnake sound Adam makes at the end by wiggling the mic like that and going "sssss". He ends a lot of their songs that way and I think it's really neat ^_^ Something I think set Home Free apart right from their first sing-off performance was how long they'd been performing together. Even PTX had two new members, Avi and Kevin who had never performed with the other three before, when they first performed and you could tell. I watched the whole season and Home Free really stood out from the other groups with how polished and professional they were.
What’s great about them , too......both Tim Foust & Austin Brown ...Both write! It can be really funny or grab a box of Kleenex serious !!! Talent oozes from these guys !!! The Beat Boxer..Adam is pretty much self taught!!! The guy is in human...they kid him as being a FREAK OF NATURE...LOLOL !!! They ALL really Nice guys, down to earth!!!!!
I was able to comfortably hit a D2 at age 15, and the day I realized I had a low voice, I decided to sing bass. Now that I'm 20, I'm comfortably hitting B1 and Bb1. People say that bass comes by birth, but I don't fully agree. I believe you can train your voice to get low, but I believe that if you're born with a naturally low voice then it's only easier. Practice is your friend!
A Stormtrooper You can try using a fire breath (also known as growl). Tim use this to go as low in A0. You are not using your chest voice in this case. Normally, C2 is the lowest anyone can go in terms of chest voice; beyond that should be possible, but a difficult feat.
Have u heard their version of "end of the road", its awsome..plus idk if u have but have u seen their version of "Angels we've Heard on High", or u can save that one for this Christmas if u want..if u havnt
I am kind of new to your reaction videos and just love your videos. keep up the good work. Also if you want another home free video check out there video die a happy man. again keep up the great work.
I have missed you! Great reaction, as usual! Could you please react to “One Sweet Day” cover by Daryl Ong, Bugoy Drilon, Michael Pangilinan and Katrina Velarde? THANK YOU!
Hi little MIX have just dropped 2 songs of their LM5 new album called woman like me ft nicky minaj and today joan of arc .....this is a different sound for them and both songs are girl power ....please checkout
Have you ever heard of Pausing the video so you don't interrupt the song? The Bass not from Tim, went on until the end of the song. But you were talking and not hearing it.
Hi new girl my name is Bob and home free is awesome if you liked there cover of Johnny Cash's ring of fire then you will love there cover of the o,jay,s love 🚆. There awesome and Tim foust the baritone can get as low as the oak ridge boys Richard sterbens. I have an Instagram account as well how will I find you on there let me know ok ty Bob steinmiller.
@@Husitka Ok Monika so sorry I meant to say that tim foust was a bass singer and not a baritone singer sorry for my mistake me bad .ok then can I ask you a question what's the difference between a bass or a baritone singer can you clear that confusion for me please and thank you .
@@robertsteinmiller6052: The short answer would be that a bass is the lowest male voice, a tenor is the highest male voice and a baritone is between the two.
