I remember those days, if werent for Jaromir Jagr we wouldve been nothing in those days sue we had Kovalev, Straka, and Lang but even though Pens fans loved to boo Jagr when he came back, we would not have made the playoffs in those days without #68 he was our leader
Nobody else does goals like this. His goals are the most spectacular i have ever seen. The only player at his skill level (at least time to time) is Kovalev.
damn penguins could have taken a 3-0 lead in this series and lost 4 straight. i think lemieux is itching to get back on the ice by the way he looks in the press box.
i remember the paper after this game had the opening sentence "the flyers won, but they still have a problem. Jaromir Jagr". Too bad for us he didn't score much after that in the series. Coulda used one in the next game, at some point during the freakin 8 periods it took.
He was injured - you clearly forgot that during the second half of the ‘99-‘00 season, Mike Peca tried to take Jarda out at the knees. Jarda was able to avoid a direct hit, but Peca rammed his knee into his thigh. Jarda ended up developing a haematoma in his thigh. He was forced to miss 12-15 consecutive games, only played 3 games before being on the receiving end of another cheap shot courtesy of Philly’s Dan McGillis - and the same leg that was injured before the post season - was still causing him problems because it wasn’t fully healed. Instead of shit talking Jarda maybe you should be asking why Aleksey Morozov and none of the other players could be arsed to produce a goal during the series.
