Joe, it’s because of you I bought an M2C in hockenheim silver and what excites me is the pure potential it has given what you’ve done. Will I follow in your footsteps? Unlikely, but I can be content that the potential is always there if I change my mind. Those zunsport grill covers do look awesome too. Keep up the great work mate.
Did you find out what was causing the unnerving on track was it a small tracking tweak or again a component? Nice to see it turning into a track weapon..👌🏼
Build looks mega!! Big shoutout to the Swift Perf boys and cracking vid mate! Can instantly see the car is FLAT as hell round those corners. Proper track weapon now
Rose joint are a nightmare for road use. I had some 034 top arms on my s4 that would start knocking after a couple 1000 miles. After rebuilding and re aligning a couple of times I got rid
Nice Car Joe 👍 I Would Say As a Techi Myself 😊Your Rear End ☺️ Movement Will Be Caused Possibly By The Fact that Weight Transfer Under Braking Is More Direct to the Rear end Camber/Caster Because You Have Removed Most /All Of the Rubber From Your Rear Control Arms etc I Would Not Run Rose Joints in a Car On the Road !! ,They Will Not Last Long Before there Trashed,If Just On Track You Are Ok But You Will Need to Buy a Lot of Spares !
Just saw some leaked foto’s of the new M2. Yuk! What were they thinking? F87 looks so much better. Ditching my plans to buy G87. Might get another E46 M3 as a project and forever car instead.
Will there be a gt/schirmer style spoiler and carbon diffuser coming? (Can’t see if you have a carbon diffuser yet or not). Car looks insane though and bet the upgrades have made a massive difference!
what i think is that you had done a 360, by modifying the suspension, that was originally was setup to do the same. what really must have been done is to modify the driving style ........
Great example here of someone on the internet who spends too much time being horrible to others. I hope life improves and you eventually find happiness ❤️
Can someone let me know what is the reason for installing an extended gear shifter? I was under the impression a shorter shifter is beneficial for increasing shift speed because there is less distance to move from gear to gear. Thanks in advance - and great video btw Joe
Get proper track tyres next time, cup 2 is an ok tyre but there are far better tyres for track use yet still road legal. Road noise will be there unfortunately with others
No comparison AT ALL, but would you have liked to start with a CS base? Or actually, have you replaced all the items (of note), that the CS upgrades on the Cup? D’yaknowwhatimean…? The thing I like most about this build is that most of the money spent, you CANT see!
Love your car, I’m picking mine up this week, with what you when spent, building a club sport, would it not of been better just to buy CS? Or were you wanting a total track car?
You’ll probably find those rose joints will fail again very soon, unfortunately they do not last long on UK roads I’ve done a very similar build on my M4 and had it setup by suspension secrets, I also get that unstable rear end under heavy braking, I found putting a very good track compound of pad in the rear brakes helped a bit (I used carbotec XP10) but still a little unstable next mod is the GT4 wing 👌
Another top video, great content and it’s clear to see you love what you do.. A question for you if I may, your Car insurance must be mega money as and mods nowadays seem to really jack up the premium, not to mention detailing every last nut and bolt changed/added etc ? Cheers keep up the work.
Very nice. M2 is high on my list, for my next jump. Loving my e92 M3, which I’ve done a fair bit too… but change is inevitable. The F Series doesn’t float my boat and the G series , is a tad much at the mo…. So M2 is the realistic next option.
Are the aftermarket stage 2 remaps with primary cat and opf deletes worth looking into for even more power? (Once your braking stability issue has been storted)
Quite like its proportions. Only the tailights could do with being a bit sleeker to match the headlights. Nice that they do an option of a car that isnt boat sized and handles well.
Mega car, wish I'd known about the CS flash option before I decided to sell my M2C (which I now regret)! I'd bet your odd handling issues are caused by fitting those spherical joints. They wont be ideal for a road car as they will require regular maintenance, especially when they get subjected to water, salt and road grime. Also found Fluro branded joints were inferior to Aurora so perhaps swap to a higher quality item if you're going to persevere. Keep up the good work... oh and please learn to heel-toe on track. :)
Yeah I've learned the hard way with joints, I have the next (expensive) solution lined up. I always heel and toe, actually filmed a video devoted to it a couple of months back (in the M2).
Why not just enjoy the car as it was intended…. What’s with these over the top mods? I have a F82 M4 Comp and I never think it’s lacking in any area 🤷♂️. The M engineers made enough of a car to enjoy
“Over the top mods?” Once you’ve tracked a standard M car you will soon highlight its weaknesses - brakes, suspension, tyres etc. Especially once you start really pushing on. This build is now probably track capable and would lap all day
