This video shows the different versions of the 3UZ-FE VVT-i Engine. We focus only on the USDM and European models in this video. There are various Japenese models but I wanted to stick to a smaller subset for this video.
When can we expect the IS250/350 3UZ swap harness? And whats a projected price? I really want to know this information because im waiting on it to happen badly
Very informative video. I didn't know about the differences in terms of models which is really interesting. I myself have a 2001 Lexus GS430 L Tuned. 260k miles and still running strong.
I considered a 3uz swap into a 1st generation Ford Mustang. In addition to needing a conversion to electronic fuel feed, I would need a front sump oil pan and ideally a factory electric power steering engine (I have manual steering). So the GS 430 one is best for me? I probably would have to fabricate an adapter and motor mounts too. Why a UZ over a Coyote? Mostly that has to do with cost. Even a bare bones Coyote build will run you over 10,000 USD (in a gen 1 Mustang). Also can the intake runner valve still work on aftermarket ECU's?
Thank you for all the information, it's really helpful! Is there a simple way to get the file to remove the immobilizer from a 5-speed 3UZ FE control unit? The engine and transmission was taken out of Toyota Celsior from Japan as showing on Toyodiy. I didn't check to be sure if it has the immobilizer feature yet to be honest.
Hey Muhammed for the 3UZ-FE VVT-i ECU's the Immobilisers are removed via a remap and require us to have the actual ECU in order to do that. There are also other things that can be sorted during the Remap for an Engine Swap.
hello I am just wondering what makes the 3UZ engine for GCC countries comes with higher torque and around 10hp higher than the 3UZ version in Europe, Australia, and US. Even though all 3UZ's are mechanically the same. I don't really know why but It might be programed from the factory like this.
No one knows...Slight differences in power may be the tunes on the ecu for different fuel. But, what will really get you is stuff like the gs400 1uz from 1997 that made 300hp.... So more power than the 3uz.... People keep saying all the cams are the same blah blah blah, I really think people need to sit down and measure them..
Really underrated video on the 3uz engine. I'm planning to drop a cobra supercharger in my ls430 and hopefully push 10 psi but I really dunno if my stock internals can hold up??? Any ideas?
Just upgraded Rods from a early gen 1UZ-FE Non VVT-i for that little power but otherwise just buy upgraded rods and remember to Gap your rings correctly.
@@PhoenixEngineManagement man you're such a life saver, thank you so much 👍 I'm looking at 400hp maybe even 500 but I think 500 is asking for too much but anywhere above 400hp I'm happy with it. I'm also going to get PPE headers too and see if I can get some hp gains if possible but idk because most people said they don't notice anything
There are many variations so there will be different part numbers across the board. Always check ToyoDiy for compatibility as I just did a quick search and found that the same starter is used in LS430 2000-2006 SC430 2001-2010 and GS430 05-07 so at first glance it appears that the GS430 00-05 is different to the rest.
Hey i have a question for yah. I have a 06 gs430 hard downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear. I have done a lil research on it and clublexus forums are stating its the ECU needing to be flashed and reprogrammed...are you capable of flashing ECU...or would you have any other recommendations...really need some insight...plz...
Hey Eugene I would first test the problem out to determine exactly what the issue is as it may be mechanical rather then software related. Check Diagnostic Data and make sure there are no codes related to the Gearbox first and then Check your Oil Level and check that the Speed Sensors on the Gearbox are all working as they should. Also make sure that the signals to the ECU relating to gear position are correct. Then if you can test it out with another ECU to make 110% sure that the ECU is at fault.
@@PhoenixEngineManagement Hi buddy, what is the easiest way to check that the speed sensors are working as they should? Literally just watch them in techstream? thanks
Good day do you guys sell these engines and do you guys fit manual gearbox to these engines, if so how much would it cost to buy one already set up to put in a Toyota Altezza 6 cylinder 2001
Hey Michael unfortunately we do not sell the engines. We specialise only in the electronics side. We can only offer a Plug and Play Harness for a 3UZ into a Toyota Altezza. If you look through our Customer Harnesses Playlist you will see some done for Toyota Altezza's
Hello Efrayim yes we can carry out remaps for the 3UZ-FE VVT-i ECU's. If you send us a message with your exact details and location we should be able to put you in touch with the right people.
